Usual Adult Dose for Hypertension:

Amlodipine: 5 to 10 mg; Hydrochlorothiazide: 12.5 to 25 mg; Olmesartan: 20 to 40 mg orally once a day.
Maximum dose: amlodipine 10 mg, hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg, and olmesartan 40 mg per day.
Comments: The most effective antihypertensive effect is noticed within 2 weeks after the first dose or dose changes, and dosages can be increased after a period of 2 weeks.
Treatment of hypertension to substitute for individual adjusted components or in patients not sufficiently controlled on the highest-tolerable, labelled, or usual dosages of one or more of these classes: angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs), calcium channel blockers (CCBs), as well as diuretics

Usual Geriatric Dose for Hypertension:

75 years of age or older:

What happens if I miss the dose?

What should be avoided?

Avoid using sodium supplements or substitutes for salt, except if your doctor has advised you to.Alcohol consumption with this medicine may cause unwanted side effects.Hydrochlorothiazide could increase the chance of developing skin cancer. Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds. Be sure to wear protective clothes and apply sunblock (SPF 30 or more) whenever you're outside. Your doctor might want you to take skin tests every few months.Be careful not to get up too fast from lying or sitting in a position. You could be dizzy.

Interaction with other drugs

There are times when it's not safe to take certain medications simultaneously.
