- Liver disease
- Asthma and other breathing disorders
- If you have an allergy to shellfish
- If you are taking a blood thinner, such as warfarin Coumadin Jantoven,
It is unknown if Optiflex G will harm an unborn child. If you are pregnant, do not use this product unless you have spoken to your doctor.
Glucosamine can pass into breast milk and harm a nursing infant. Do not use this product if you are breastfeeding a child without consulting a doctor.Don't give herbal or health supplements to children without consulting a doctor.
How to take Optiflex G?
Consult your doctor before using herbal supplements. Consult a health practitioner trained in herbal or health supplement use.Use Optiflex G as directed by the manufacturer or your doctor. Use only the recommended amount of this product.Use different glucosamine formulations only under medical supervision. Combining different formulations increases the risk of glucosamine overdose.
Optiflex-G may cause abnormal results in a blood sugar test. If you have diabetes, do not use this product unless your doctor has prescribed it.Tell your surgeon if you will need surgery. Your medication should be taken at regular intervals to remain effective, however it may be necessary for a period of time when taking it a temporary pause should occur.

What happens if I miss the dose?
If your next scheduled dose is about to arrive, disregard any dose that was missed. Use extra Optiflex G to make up for the missed dose.

What should be avoided?
Manganese is also present in some Optiflex G products. Manganese can be overdosed if you take too much. Take only as directed by the label.
Interaction with other drug
Other drugs, such as vitamins and herbal remedies, may also interact with glucosamine. Inform your healthcare providers of all the medicines you are taking and those you plan to take.
