What is Fluzone Quadrivalent 2023–2024?
Influenza (the flu) is a viral illness spread through air or surfaces and should be considered highly contagious. The flu symptoms include fevers, chills, and fatigue, as well as aches and a sore throat. vomiting and diarrhea. Flu can cause sinus infections and ear infections. It may also lead to bronchitis or more serious complications, like pneumonia. Influenza is responsible for thousands of deaths and hospitalizations each year. Fluzone Quadrivalent is a newly developed product each year. It contains specific strains (killed or inactivated) of the flu virus recommended by public health officials. Fluzone Quadrivalent (flu shot), an injectable, is made of "killed virus." This medicine is available as a nasal spray, which is a "live virus" vaccination. The information in this medication guide is only for the injectable version of this vaccine. Fluzone Quadrivalent 2020-2024, like any other vaccine, may not protect everyone from illness.
Side effects of Fluzone Quadrivalent 2023-2024
If you experience any of the following signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficulty breathing and swelling in lips, face, tongue or throat. Seek medical assistance immediately! If you experienced an adverse reaction after taking your initial dose, a booster shot is not advised. Keep a record of all side effects. You will need to inform the vaccine provider of any side effects you experienced after receiving Fluzone Quadrivalent 2020–2024. Fluzone Quadrivalent is made of "killed" viruses and won't make you sick with the flu virus. During flu season, you may experience flu-like symptoms that could be caused by another strain of the influenza virus.
Fluzone quadrivalent can cause serious side effects. If you experience:
- A feeling of lightheadedness, as if you could pass out.
- You may experience a sudden and severe feeling of weakness in your arms or legs.
- Feelings of numbness or pain;
- Hearing or vision problems
- A fever above 101 degrees F
Fluzone Quadrivalent Fluzone Quadrivalent 2023-2024 side effects may include:
- Pain, redness, or tenderness; swelling, bruising, or a lump at the site of the injection
- Diarrhoea, loss of appetite
- Muscle pain;
- Headache, tiredness;
- In a child, fussiness, crying, or drowsiness are common.

Warnings
Fluzone Quadrivalent is made of "killed virus" and won't make you sick with the flu.
Before you take this drug
This vaccine may not be available to you if you have an allergy to eggs or previous severe reactions to flu vaccines.
If you:
- A weak immune system, caused by a disease or certain medicines.
- A history of Guillain-Barre syndrome within 6 weeks after receiving the flu vaccine
If you are suffering from a minor cold, it is still possible to receive a vaccination. Wait until you are better if you have a severe illness, such as a fever or infection. Inform your vaccine provider if you are pregnant or nursing. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend that women who are pregnant get a flu vaccine during any trimester to protect their babies and themselves from the flu. It is not recommended that pregnant women use the nasal spray version of the influenza vaccine.
How to take Fluzone Quadrivalent 2023–2024?
This vaccine is not recommended for children. Your child's vaccine provider can recommend which Fluzone Quadrivalent 2020–2024 is best for your child. This vaccine is administered as an injection into a muscle. A second vaccine may be needed for children aged 6 months to 8 months after the first one. Fluzone Quadrivalents 2023–2024 are usually administered in November or October. Follow the advice of both your physician and local public health department. Fluzone quadrivalent is developed each year to target specific strains. You should therefore receive a flu shot every year.
What happens if I miss the dose?
If you have forgotten to get your annual flu shot in November or October, or if your children missed a booster shot, call your doctor.
What happens if I overdose?
It is very unlikely that this vaccine will cause an overdose.
What should be avoided?
If your vaccine provider has given any instructions regarding food, beverage, or activity restrictions, be sure to follow them.
Interaction with other drug
If you are currently taking one or more of these drugs, receiving the vaccination may be impossible, or may need to wait until your other treatments have taken their course before scheduling one.
- Steroid medicine;
- Treatment of autoimmune diseases or psoriasis
- Medicines to treat or prevent transplant rejection
