What is Ambifed-G?
There are numerous varieties and brands of guaifenesin, as well as pseudoephedrine, available. Not all of them are included in this leaflet.Guaifenesin can be described as an expectorant. Side effects of Ambifed-G
See a doctor immediately. Get medical attention immediately if you notice symptoms that indicate an allergic reaction, such as difficulty breathing, hives, and swelling of your lips, face, or tongue.
Ambifed-G could cause serious adverse side effects. Stop using Ambifed-G immediately and consult your doctor immediately. If you suffer from:
- Fast, pounding, or uneven heartbeat;
- Extreme anxieties or anxiousness.
Common side effects of Ambifed G could include:
- Dry mouth, nose, dry mouth, or throat;
- Uneasy stomach Vomiting and a loss of appetite
- Getting excited or feeling anxious (especially when it is a child);
- Sleep problems (insomnia);
- Headache, dizziness.

Warnings

Prior to use this drug
It is not recommended to use Ambifed-G if your body is allergic to it.Avoid using Ambifed-G if you have taken an MAO inhibitor within the last 14 days. A potentially dangerous interaction between drugs could occur. MAO inhibitors are isocarboxazid linezolid, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, and tranylcypromine.
Consult a physician or pharmacist about whether it is safe to use this medicine if you suffer from:
- High blood pressure, heart disease, and coronary artery disease
- Diabetes;
- Problems with circulation;
- Glaucoma;
- Hyperactive thyroid;
- An increased prostate or urinary problem.
It is unknown whether this medication could be detrimental to the unborn baby. Avoid using Ambifed-G without a medical consultation when you are pregnant.Guaifenesin as well as pseudoephedrine can pass in breastmilk and cause harm to nursing babies. Decongestants could also reduce the production of breast milk. Do not take this medication without medical advice when you are breastfeeding infants.Artificially sweetened liquid medications might contain phenylalanine. Make sure to check the label on your medication for the presence of phenylketonuria (PKU).
How to take Ambifed-G?
Take exactly as indicated on the label or as directed by your physician. Don't use it in greater quantities, in smaller amounts, or for a longer period than is suggested. Suck it up whole.The tablet that you chew must be chewed prior to swallowing it.Drink plenty of fluids to ease congestion and smooth your throat when you are taking this medicine.Contact your physician if your symptoms don't improve after seven weeks of therapy, if you suffer from a fever that causes headaches or coughs, or if you have itchy skin.Place it in a cool, dry place free of heat and moisture.
What happens if I miss the dose?
Because Ambifed-G is prescribed when required, you might not be on a regular dosing schedule. If you take the medication frequently, you should take the missed dose immediately when you remember. Don't miss your missed dosage if it's nearing the time for the next dose. Don't take any extra medication to make up for the missed dose.

This medication can affect your ability to think or react. Be aware if you are driving or engaging in any activity that requires you to stay vigilant.Consuming alcohol with Ambifed-G may cause adverse reactions.Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking any other cold, cough, or allergy medication. Ambifed-G can be found in a variety of combination medications. Combining certain medications could cause you to take too much of a particular medication.
Interaction with other drugs
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist prior to using this medication if you're taking any other medications that include prescription or over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal products. Certain medicines may cause undesirable or harmful effects when taken together. There are not all the interactions mentioned in this medication guide.If you take this medicine in conjunction with other medications that make you sleepy or slow your breathing, it could increase the severity of these effects. Talk to your doctor prior to using Ambifed-G in conjunction with a sleep medication, painkiller, or narcotic medication, muscle relaxer, medication to treat anxiety or depression, or seizures.
