What are Liquitears?

Side effects of Liquitears

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing, hives, swelling of the face, lips, or throat.

If you experience:

  • After using the medication, you may experience severe eye irritation, burning, stinging, or tingling.
  • Eye pain
  • Vision changes

Liquitears can cause the following side effects:

  • Mild eye irritation or burning;
  • Itching or redness in your eyes
  • Watery eyes
  • Blurred vision
  • Light sensitivity

Warnings

Liquitears should not be used to treat or prevent eye infections.

Before you take this drug

If you have an allergy to Liquitears, then it is best not to use them. The medicine does not prevent or treat an eye infection.If you suspect that you may have an infection, ask your doctor or pharmacist whether Liquitears is safe to use.Tell your doctor whether you're pregnant or breastfeeding.

How to take Liquitears?

Read all instructions or guides that come with your medication and follow all directions. Follow the directions on the label.Wash your hands before using Liquitears.Liquitears should not be used, and you should contact your pharmacist immediately if it appears cloudy or if its colour has changed.Avoid touching the tip of an eye dropper, ointment, or tube directly or placing it on your eye. The tip of the eye dropper or ointment tube can cause serious vision problems if it is contaminated.If your symptoms don't improve or worsen while you are using Liquitears, call your doctor.Keep away from moisture and heat at room temperature.

What happens if I miss the dose?

When needed, liquids are used. You should skip missed doses if you have a schedule. Never use two doses in one go.

What happens if I overdose?

Overdoses of ocular moisturiser are not dangerous. If anyone accidentally swallows the medication, call 1-800-222-1222 or the Poison Help Line for immediate medical attention.

What should be avoided?

Liquitears can cause blurred vision. Do not drive or do any hazardous activities until you have determined how the medicine will affect you.You should only use eye drops prescribed by your doctor.

Interaction with other drug

Other drugs that you take are unlikely to affect the medicine used on your eyes. Many drugs interact. Tell your doctor all the medications you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and herbal supplements.
