What is Valu-dryl?

Valu-dryl can be described as an antihistamine. It can be employed to address sneezing, watery eyes, runny nose, hives, skin eruptions, itching, and other symptoms of the cold, as well as allergy symptoms.valu-dryl also helps combat motion sickness, promote sleep, and combat specific symptoms of parkinson's disease. This is a sleep aid medicine that is not recommended for use by children under 12 years old.

Side effects of Valu-dryl

Common adverse effects of valu-dryl could include:

  • Dry eyes, blurred vision
  • Dry nose, mouth, or throat;
  • Reduced urination
  • Constipation;
  • Being anxious or restless (especially when it is a child). Experiencing a sense of anxiety or excitement (especially with children);
  • Daytime drowsiness and a "hangover" feeling following nighttime use

Do not take this medication to induce sleepiness in a child. Valu-dryl sleep aid medicine is not suitable for use by children less than twelve years of age.

Before you take this drug

It is not recommended to use valu-dryl if you are sensitive to it.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist to determine if this medication is suitable for you if you previously had:

  • An increased prostate or urinary tract problem
  • Asthma, chronic obstructive respiratory illness (copd), or any other breathing disorder
  • Glaucoma;
  • Thyroid disorders are a common problem.

How to take Valu dryl?

Follow the directions on the label or as directed by your physician. Valu-dryl is intended to be used for a short time until symptoms are gone.a high dose of valu-dryl may cause severe heart problems, seizures, coma, or even death.follow the instructions on the medication label regarding giving valu-dryl to children. Don't use the drug solely to induce sleepiness in a child. Death can occur because of the improper use of antihistamines in children who are very young.

To treat motion sickness, you should take valu-dryl 30 minutes before you go into a situation that can trigger motion sickness (such as an extended car ride, a flight, amusement parks, and so on). Keep taking this medication during meals and before bed throughout the time that you are experiencing motion sickness.for a restorative effect to help you sleep, take valu-dryl at least 30 minutes prior to bedtime.

You should chew the tablet before you take it in.make sure to measure the liquid medicine with care. Make use of the dosing syringe supplied or a dosage-measuring device (not the kitchen spoon).take the tablet that dissolves orally from the container only when the time is right to consume the medication. Place the tablet in your mouth and let it disintegrate without chewing. Drink several times until the tablet disintegrates.

What happens if i miss the dose?

Since valu-dryl can be used as required, you might not be on a regular dosing schedule. Do not miss any doses when it's time to get the next dose. Do not take two doses at the same time.

What happens if i overdose?

For medical emergencies, seek emergency treatment or contact the poison help line at 1-800-222-1222. A diphenhydramine overdose could be fatal.

The symptoms of an overdose can be vomiting or nausea, confusion, sleepiness, or ringing in your ears. There is no urine, an extremely dry mouth and eyes, dilation of pupils, rapid heartbeats, tremors, disturbances, and hallucinations. It could also be a seizure.

What should be avoided?

Avoid driving and other hazardous activities until you understand how valu-dryl affects your body. The way you react could be impaired.drinking alcohol can intensify diphenhydramine's side effects.
