What is Bacitracin?
Bacitracin can be described as an antibiotic that fights bacteria. Topical Bacitracin (for the face) helps to stop infections in small cuts, scrapes, and burns. Bacitracin can also be employed for other purposes that are not covered in this guideline.
Side Effects of Bacitracin

Before you take this drug
It is not recommended to use the topical bacitracin if you're intolerant to bacitracin, mineral oil, or petroleum jelly.
Don't use bacitracin for topical application to treat bites from animals, puncture wounds, severe skin wounds, or severe burns. Talk to a pharmacist or doctor about whether it is appropriate to take this medication if you aren't certain.Bacitracin is not believed to cause harm to a baby who is not yet born.It is unclear if the bacitracin is absorbed into the breast milk or if it is harmful to the nursing infant.

How to take Bacitracin?
Take exactly as indicated on the label or as directed by your physician. Avoid using in larger than smaller quantities or for longer periods than suggested.Cleanse the skin before applying the topical bacitracin.You can apply bacitracin on the affected area up to 3 times daily. Only apply enough to completely cover the area you're treating.Don't apply this medication on large areas of your skin. You could cover the affected skin by the help of a bandage. Do not take bacitracin more than 7 days consecutively. Consult your physician if symptoms don't improve after seven days of treatment or if you experience an eczema eruption. Storage at room temperature far from heat and moisture. Avoid freezing.

Interaction with other drugs
It's unlikely that other medications you take by mouth or injecting can affect the bacitracin you apply topically. But, there are many drugs that interfere with one another.
