What is Sinex nasal spray?

Phenylephrine shrinks the blood vessels of the nasal passages. Dilated blood vessels can cause congestion in the nasal passages.

Sinex nasal spray is used to relieve nasal congestion or sinus pressure due to allergies, flu, or the common cold. Phenylephrine can be used to treat congestion in the eustachian tubes, which drain fluid from the inner ear. Sinex nasal spray may be used in other ways not mentioned in this medication guide.
