What is Menthol topical ?

Menthol can be manmade or derived from extracts of mint oil. Menthol is a cooling agent that can be applied to skin and other tissues, such as the gums or the inside of the cheeks. Menthol topical mucous membrane for the oral cavity is used to relieve minor throat discomfort or mouth irritation due to a canker ulcer. Menthol topical can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Menthol topical

Before you take this drug

If you have an allergy to menthol, do not use the topical.

The menthol lozenge can contain glucose or phenylalanine. Before using this medication, talk to your doctor if you suffer from diabetes or PKU (phenylketonuria). Do not give this medicine without the doctor's approval to a child or baby.

How to take Menthol topical?

Follow the instructions on the label or those prescribed by your doctor. The menthol lozenge should not be swallowed whole. Let it dissolve in your mouth without chewing. Use a fresh lozenge after every 2 hours or whenever needed. If your sore or persistent throat persists for more than two days and you have other symptoms such as a fever or a headache, nausea, vomiting, skin rash, or swelling, call your doctor.If your cough does not improve within 7 days of using the product, discontinue use and consult your physician. Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature.

You are unlikely to miss a dose of menthol topical, as it is only used when necessary.
