What is Laxmar?

Laxmar, a fibre-forming laxative, is used for occasional constipation and bowel irregularities.Laxmar can also lower cholesterol if used in conjunction with a low-cholesterol and saturated-fat diet.Laxmar can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Laxmar

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing, hives, swelling of the face, lips, or throat.

Laxmar may cause serious side effects. Laxmar should be stopped immediately, and you should consult your doctor if:

  • Constipation lasting more than seven days
  • Rectal bleeding
  • Severe stomach pain.

Laxmar side effects may include:

  • Bloating
  • Minor changes in your bowel habits

Before you take this drug

If you've ever had a reaction to Laxmar, then it is best not to take it.

Have any of these conditions:

  • Stomach pain, nausea, or vomiting;
  • Trouble swallowing
  • A sudden change in bowel habits lasting more than two weeks

This medication may contain sodium, sugar, or phenylalanine. If you suffer from diabetes, high blood pressure, or phenylketonuria, you should check the label of your medication.You may need a different dose during pregnancy or nursing.Laxmar should not be given to children younger than six years of age without consulting a doctor.

How to take Laxmar?

Follow the instructions on the label or those prescribed by your doctor.If laxatives are used frequently or for a long time, they can become habit-forming.If you do not take Laxmar with enough fluid, it can cause swelling in your throat. Choking may also occur. To improve bowel function, drink plenty of water each day.Laxmar should be taken with 8 ounces of water or any other liquid.Swallow Laxmar capsules, one at a time.Laxmar powder should be mixed with liquid prior to use. Do not take the powder dry. Mix the powder with 8 ounces or more of liquid, such as fruit juice or water. Mix well, and consume the mixture immediately. Pour a little water into the glass and swirl it gently. Drink immediately.Laxmar produces a bowel motion within 12 to 72 hours.Laxmar should not be taken for more than seven days without consulting a doctor. Too much laxative use can cause serious medical issues with your intestines.If your symptoms don't improve or worsen, call your doctor.Laxmar is only one part of a comprehensive treatment programme that includes exercise, diet, and weight management. You should follow your doctor's advice.Store away from moisture or heat at room temperature. Keep the container sealed tightly when not being used.

What happens if I miss the dose?

Laxmar can be used as needed, and you might not have a regular dosing regimen. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip any missed dose. Never take two doses in one go.

What happens if I overdose?

Call 1-800-222-1222 immediately if you believe you have consumed poison and require immediate medical assistance or dial the number listed for immediate help.

What should be avoided?

When mixing Laxmar powder, avoid breathing in dust. Inhaling the dust from this medicine may cause an allergy reaction.Avoid eating high-fat or high-cholesterol foods if you are taking Laxmar in conjunction with a treatment plan to lower cholesterol. Otherwise, your treatment may not be as successful.

Interaction with other drug

Laxmar may make it more difficult for your body to absorb other medications you take orally, making them less effective. Take any oral medications 2 hours before taking this medicine or 2 hours afterwards.Laxmar may be affected by other drugs, such as vitamins and herbal remedies. Inform your doctor of all the medicines you are taking and those that you stop or start using.
