What is Hemorrhoidal Cooling Gel (rectal)?

Hemorrhoids can be caused by dilated blood vessels.Hemorrhoidal cooling gel is applied to the rectum in order to relieve burning, irritation, and swelling due to hemorrhoids.Hemorrhoidal cooling gel can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Hemorrhoidal Cooling Gel (rectal)

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing, hives, swelling of your lips, face, or throat.

Hemorrhoidal cooling gel may cause serious side effects. Hemorrhoidal cooling gel should be stopped immediately if:

  • Rectal bleeding
  • Severe irritation in or around the rectum
  • Increased blood pressure; severe headache; blurry vision; pounding in the neck or ears; anxiety. Nosebleed.

Before you take this drug

Hemorrhoidal cooling gel (often found in cold and allergy medications) should not be used if you have an allergic reaction to it.

If you suffer from:

  • Heart disease
  • High blood pressure
  • Urination or prostate problems;
  • Diabetes
  • A thyroid disorder.

Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you're pregnant or breastfeeding.Never give this medicine to children younger than 2 years of age.

How to take Hemorrhoidal Cooling Gel (rectal)?

Follow the directions provided on the label or by your doctor.Hemorrhoidal gel can be used up to four times per day, preferably after a bowel motion.Please read and follow all instructions that accompany your medication, if there are any that you don't understand consult your physician or pharmacist for clarification.You should not apply hemorrhoidal cooling gel cream or gel to your rectum. These forms of phenylephrine in the rectum should only be used in the area surrounding and outside your rectum.The only thing that should be put into the rectum is the rectal suppository.If your symptoms don't improve within 7 days or worsen, call your doctor.Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature.

What happens if I miss the dose?

You are unlikely to miss a dosage of hemorrhoidal gel rectal, as it is used only when needed. Hemorrhoidal gel should not be used more than four times a day.

What happens if I overdose?

What should be avoided?

You should not swallow hemorrhoidal cooling gel rectal suppository. This gel is only for your rectum.Before using any over-the-counter medicines containing ingredients that are similar to hemorrhoidal cooling gel, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Interaction with other drug

Before using hemorrhoidal gel with other medications, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

  • Blood pressure medication
  • An MAO inhibitor—isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue injection, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, tranylcypromine, and others.
