What is Anusol-HC?

Anusol-HC (for the skin) is a steroid that is used to reduce the inflammation and itching caused by skin disorders that respond to steroid medications.There are a variety of kinds and brands of hydrocortisone topicals that are available. Some brands are not included in this leaflet.Anusol-HC can also be used for other purposes that are not mentioned in this guideline.

Side effects of Anusol-HC

See a doctor immediately. Get medical attention immediately if you notice symptoms that indicate an allergic reaction, like hives, trouble breathing, or swelling of your lips, face, or tongue.

AnusolHC could cause serious adverse side effects. Consult a medical provider immediately if you experience:

  • An increase in the severity of your skin conditions;
  • Redness, warmth, swelling, ousting, or extreme irritation to any skin treatment;
  • Blood sugar levels are high—increased thirst, more frequent urine output, dry mouth, and a breath smell that is fruity
  • Potential signs of absorption of anusol-hc through your skin, such as weight gain (especially on your face or your torso and upper back). Slow healing of wounds, thin or discoloured skin, an increase in muscle weakness, sickness, diarrhoea, fatigue, mood swings, and menstrual changes

Before you take this drug

It is not recommended to take Anusol-HC if you are sensitive to it.

Speak to your doctor if were ever diagnosed with:

  • Any kind of skin disease;

  • The liver condition
  • An adrenal gland disorder of the adrenal gland.

Steroids can boost levels of glucose (sugar) in the urine or blood. Consult a medical provider immediately if you suspect diabetes.Do not give Anusol-HC to children younger than two years old without medical guidance.Consult a physician before taking this medication if you are breastfeeding or pregnant.If you apply an application of Anusol-HC to your chest, stay clear of the areas that could come into contact with your baby's mouth.

How to take Anusol-HC?

Follow exactly the instructions on the label or as directed by your doctor.Do not chew it. The topical medication is intended to be used only on the skin.Be sure to read and adhere to any instructions that are included in your medication. Consult your physician or pharmacist for clarification if you are unsure of the instructions.Wash your hands thoroughly before and after you use hydrocortisone in the event that you are not using this treatment to treat your skin.Use a light layer of cream on the affected skin and gently rub it into the skin. What happens if I miss the dose?

Apply the medicine as fast as you can; however, avoid the missed dose if you think it is getting close to the time of the next dose. Do not take two doses at the same time.

What happens if I overdose?
