What is GRX Dynane?

There are many different brands and types of povidone-iodine topicals. This leaflet does not list all brands.GRX Dyne can be used to treat or prevent infection on minor cuts or scrapes. GRX Dyne can also be used in a hospital setting to promote healing and prevent infections in wounds or pressure sores.Use povidone iodine topical inside the mouth for temporary relief from minor mouth irritation or pain, sore neck, or canker sores.GRX-Dyne can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of GRX-Dyne

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, or throat.

This medicine can cause serious side effects. If you experience:

  • Infections can be characterised by swelling, heat, pain, redness, oozing, or other symptoms.
  • Blistering or crusting
  • Severe irritation or burning.

Before you take this drug

If you have an allergy to GRX-Dyne, do not use it.If you suffer from allergies or medical conditions, ask your doctor or pharmacist if GRX Dyne can be used safely.This medicine should not be given to young children without consulting a doctor.Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you're pregnant or nursing.Avoid applying this medication to areas of the breast that could come into contact with your baby's mouth if you are breastfeeding.

How to take GRX Dynane?

Follow the instructions on the label or those prescribed by your doctor.GRX-dyne comes in many forms. These include liquid, ointment powder, aerosol, cream, sprays, swabs, and soap. Please read and follow all instructions for use that come with your medication. If you don't understand the instructions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.Read the instructions on the label of any medicine you use for children.GRX-Dyne can be applied as required. Cleanse the area that needs to be treated.Before each use, shake GRX-Dyne Spray well.Before applying a bandage, allow the medicine to completely dry on the skin. Apply a loose bandage.Use this medicine only for minor burns and puncture wounds. Do not apply to deep wounds or animal bites. Apply only to small areas of skin.You may be prescribed antibiotic medications to take orally when treating an infection. Even if you feel better quickly, take all prescribed medications for the entire time.GRX-Dyne can be taken in the mouth up to four times per day. The form of the medicine determines how often you can take it. Please follow all the instructions on the label.Do not use GRX Dyne on your mouth if the product is only intended for skin use.Spray directly into your mouth or throat to use GRX-Dyne in the mouth. After 15 seconds, spit out the medicine. Avoid swallowing spray. Use spray every 2 hours if necessary.Use GRX-Dyne to rinse your mouth. Gargle or swish it for 30 seconds, and then spit out the liquid. The liquid should not be swallowed. Use up to four times every day.Do not use GRX-Dyne for more than seven days without consulting a doctor.If your sore or persistent throat persists after two days or you have a high temperature, a headache, or nausea and vomiting, call your doctor.You should consult your doctor if any of the following symptoms occur: new or worsening pain, redness or swelling, rash, or fever.Store away from moisture or heat at room temperature. Store products at room temperature and away from moisture or excessive heat sources.The GRX Dyne swabs are only intended for single-use.GRX-Dyne may stain fabric, skin, and teeth. Rub alcohol can be used to remove stains from the skin. Alcohol should not be applied to a cut or an irritated area of skin. Ammonia mixed with water can be used to remove stains from fabric. Avoid getting the medication on jewellery, particularly silver.GRX-Dyne Spray is flammable. Avoid using near-open flames or high heat. Smoke only after the gel is completely dry.

What happens if I miss the dose?

Do not take the missed dose. Use your next dose as usual. Do not take two doses in one go.

What happens if I overdose?

Overdoses of GRX Dyne are not considered dangerous. If anyone accidentally swallows the medicine, seek emergency medical care or call Poison Help at 1-800-222-1222.Overdose symptoms from GRX-Dyne include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and fever.

What should be avoided?

Avoid getting GRX Dyne into your eyes. Rinse with water if contact occurs. If you experience persistent eye irritation, consult your doctor.

Interaction with other drug

Other drugs that you take are unlikely to affect the medicine applied to your skin. Many drugs interact with each other. Inform your healthcare provider about the medicines you take, including prescriptions and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
