Cetrizine reduces histamine, a natural chemical in the human body. The symptoms that histamine causes include sneezing and itching, as well as watery eyes and a runny or watery nose.Pseudoephedrine works as a nasal decongestant by shrinking blood vessels. Dilated vessels in the nose can lead to congestion.Goodsense Cetirizine D-12 is a combination medication used to treat cold and allergy-related symptoms, such as nasal or sinus congestion, sneezing or itching, or watery or runny eyes.Goodsense Cetirizine D-12 hour may be used in other ways not mentioned in the medication guide.

Side effects of Goodsense Cetirizine D-12 Hour

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergy reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing or swelling in your lips, face, throat, or tongue.

Goodsense Cetirizine D-12 Hour may cause serious adverse side effects. Goodsense D-12 Hour should be stopped immediately if:

  • Fast, pounding, or uneven heartbeat;
  • Weakness, uncontrolled shaking (tremors)
  • Hyperactivity, or a feeling of extreme fear, confusion, and restlessness;
  • Problems with the vision
  • Little or no urinating is acceptable.
  • High blood pressure (severe headache, buzzing in the ears, chest discomfort, shortness of breath, and irregular heartbeats)

Side effects that may occur from goodsense cetirizine d-12 hour include:

  • Dizziness, feeling tired;
  • Sleep problems (insomnia);
  • Dry mouth; nausea; constipation
  • Trouble concentrating.

Goodsense Cetirizine is not recommended for people with narrow-angle eye disease (glaucoma), high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, or who are unable to urinate.You should not take this medication if you've taken an MAO inhibitor in the last 14 days. There is a risk of a dangerous drug interaction. The MAO inhibitors are isocarboxazid (linezolid), phenelzine (rasagiline), selegiline (tranylcypromine), and rasagiline.

Before you take this drug

This medicine should not be used if:

  • Narrow-angle glaucoma;
  • Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a serious condition.
  • Severe coronary artery diseases;
  • If you're unable to urinate,
  • If you have an allergy to hydralazine (atarax or vistaril),

Goodsense Cetirizine is not recommended if MAO-inhibitors have been taken in the last 14 days. It is possible that a dangerous drug interaction will occur. There are several MAO inhibitors, including isocarboxazid (linezolid), phenelzine (phenelzine), rasagiline (selegiline), and tranylcypromine.If you are suffering from any other health conditions or symptoms, you should consult your doctor before taking this medication.

If you are pregnant, do not take this medication without consulting your doctor.Cetirizine and pseudoephedrine can pass through breast milk to harm nursing babies. Antihistamines and decongestants can also reduce breast milk production. If you're breastfeeding, do not take this medication without consulting your doctor.Goodsense Cetirizine 12 Hour may cause more side effects in older adults.

How to take Goodsense Cetirizine D-12 Hour?

Do not exceed the recommended dosage or duration. Use the recommended dose and do not exceed it.No longer chew or crush the extended-release tablets. Take it as a whole.You should take one tablet once every 12 hours, unless you are told otherwise by your doctor. This medication can be taken with or without eating.If your symptoms don't improve or worsen, call your doctor.Keep away from heat and moisture at room temperature.

What happens if I miss the dose?

If you forget to take a dose, do so as soon as possible. Wait until your next dose to skip the missed dosage. You should not use extra medication to compensate for a missed dose.

You should be careful when driving or doing anything else that involves being alert.Alcohol can increase some of the side effects caused by cetirizine. Alcohol can cause some side effects to be worsened by cetirizine.Before using any other allergy or cold medicine, consult your doctor. Many combination medications contain antihistamines or decongestants. You can get an overdose of certain drugs by taking certain products in combination.
