What is Florinef Acetate?

Florinef acetate can be described as a synthetic steroid used to reduce inflammation within the body. Florinef Acetate is used to manage diseases that cause the body to not make adequate amounts of the steroids it produces, for instance, Addison's disease and salt-losing adrenogenital syndrome. Florinef Acetate can also be used to treat conditions not covered in this medication guide.

Side effects of Florinef Acetate

Contact a medical provider immediately if you notice symptoms that indicate an allergic reaction, including hives, difficulty breathing or swelling of lips, face or tongue.

Florinef acetate may cause serious side effects.Should you experience: Consult your physician immediately in case of symptoms related to allergies;

  • Swelling of the lower or feet and rapid weight gain

  • Muscle weakness and reduction in muscle mass

  • Blurred vision blurred vision, pain, or seeing a lot of light sources;

  • Stool that is bloody or tarry; the coughing up of blood;

  • Unexpected changes in behavior or mood;

  • A seizure;

  • An increase in pressure within the skull, causing severe headaches, ringing of your ears, nausea, dizziness, and vision issues, as well as headaches behind your eyes;

  • lower potassium level: leg cramps, constipation, irregular heartbeats, fluttering within your chest, a rise in thirst or urination, numbness sensation of tingling, muscle weakness, or a feeling of limpness;

  • Pancreatitis: severe discomfort in your stomach, which then spreads into your lower back; nausea and vomiting, as well as

  • Increased adrenal gland hormones—weight gain on your shoulders and face—slow healing of wounds and skin discoloration it also causes thinning skin, more body hair, fatigue, mood swings, and sexual changes.

Common adverse consequences of florinef acetate could include:

It is not recommended to use Florinef Acetate if you suffer from a yeast infection throughout your body.

Before you take this drug

It is not recommended to take Florinef Acetate if you are allergic to it or if you suffer from an infection caused by fungal organisms in your body. Florinef Acetate can damage immunity, which makes it more likely for you to contract an infection or worsen an existing infection that you've already had or recently experienced. Talk to your doctor about any infection or illness that you've experienced in the past few weeks.

Speak to your doctor if you were ever diagnosed with:

  • Tuberculosis (or the case that someone is in your household with tuberculosis);

  • A thyroid disorder

  • Heart issues, high blood pressure;

  • Diabetes;

  • Glaucoma, or cataracts

  • Eyes with a herpes infection;

  • A stomach ulcer;

  • Ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis;

  • A colostomy or ileostomy;

  • Cirrhosis, or any other liver diseases;

  • Kidney disease;

  • Psychosis or mental illness

  • Osteoporosis;

  • Myasthenia gravis.

Discuss with your physician if you are expecting The use of Florinef Acetate in pregnancy could cause problems with the adrenal glands for the baby. Make sure any healthcare professional caring for your pregnancy or your baby understands that you've not taken this medication during your pregnancy. Breastfeeding while taking this medication is not advised. Consult your physician about any potential risks. Florinef Acetate isn't permitted for use by anyone less than 18 years old.

How to take Florinef Acetate?

Follow all instructions found on your prescription label and study all medication guides or instruction sheets provided with it. The doctor might alter the dosage. Follow the medication exactly as it is prescribed. It is possible that you will require regular medical tests. Even if you don't have symptoms, tests may assist your doctor in determining whether Florinef Acetate is effective. Your dose requirements could change due to surgery, illness, stress or an asthma attack.Do not alter the dosage or frequency of your medications without consulting your physician. This medication can alter the outcomes of certain medical tests. Be sure to inform any doctor treating patients that you're using Florinef Acetate. Do not stop taking Florinef Acetate at a sudden time. Follow the advice of your doctor on increasing the dosage.Maintain a temperature in the middle, away from excessive heat, humidity and light. In the event of an emergency, have a medical ID to inform others of the medication you take.

What happens if I miss the dose?

As soon as it's possible, take your medication as quickly as possible; however, avoid missing your dose if it's nearing time to take another. Avoid taking two doses at once.

What happens if I overdose?

For medical emergencies, seek emergency medical assistance or contact the Poison Help Line's toll-free number at 1-800-222-1222. In the event of an overdose, symptoms could include weight gain, swelling, being short of breath, leg cramps, irregular heartbeats, fluttering of the chest area, weakness in your muscles, intense headaches, or pounding sensations in your neck or ear.

What should be avoided?

Beware of those who are sick or suffer from illnesses. Consult your doctor to get preventive treatment when you've been exposed to measles or chickenpox. These diseases can be severe and even fatal for those who use Florinef Acetate. Don't receive a smallpox vaccination when you are taking Florinef Acetate. Talk to your doctor prior to taking any other vaccines during the time you're being treated with Florinef Acetate.

Interaction with other drug

Inform your doctor about all the medications you take. Numerous medications can interact with Florinef Acetate, including:

  • Aspirin;

  • Diuretic or "water pill";

  • Insulin or oral diabetes medication;

  • Birth control tablets and hormone therapy

  • The anabolic form of a steroid (such as oxandrolone and oxymetholone);

  • Barbiturates (such as butabarbital, phenobarbital, and secobarbital);

  • Warfarin, Coumadin or Jantoven may all serve to thin blood.

  • Medications that reduce the strength of your immune system, such as cancer medicines, steroids, cancer medicine, and other medications to stop organ donation
