What is Endur-acin?

Endur-acin can be used to reduce the levels in the blood of "bad" cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein, also known as LDL) as well as triglycerides, and also to boost amounts of "good" cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein, also known as HDL).Niaspan is utilized to reduce the risk of having a heart attack for those with elevated cholesterol and a previous history of having heart attacks. Niaspan is also used in conjunction with other cholesterol medications to reduce the accumulation of fat deposits in your arteries.Endur-acin is also employed for other purposes that are not covered in this guideline for medication.

Side effects of Endurance-acin

Contact a medical professional immediately. Get medical attention immediately if you notice symptoms or warning signs of an allergic response, like hives, trouble breathing, and swelling of your lips, face, tongue, throat, or face.Endur-acin can cause serious adverse side effects. Contact your physician immediately. If you suffer from:

  • Heart attack symptoms: chest pressure or pain that spreads to your shoulder or jaw; nausea; sweating;
  • High blood sugar: increased thirst, more frequent urinary frequency, dry mouth, and fruity breath smell;
  • Unanswered muscle tenderness, the feeling of weakness or tenderness;
  • A feeling of lightheadedness, as if you've passed out;
  • Irregular heartbeats;
  • Extreme warmth or redness on your skin
  • Vision issues and problems
  • Jaundice (yellowing of the eyes or skin).

Common adverse effects of Endur-acin could include:

  • Flushing (sudden heat, redness, or tingling sensation);
  • Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea;
  • Abnormal tests for liver function;
  • The itching, rash, and dry skin
  • Cough;
  • Skin discoloration;

Warnings

It is not recommended to take Endur-acin in the case of serious liver diseases or ulcers in your stomach, or if you have active bleeding.

Before you take this drug

Do not take Enduracin if you're allergic to it or are suffering from:

  • Severe liver illness;
  • A stomach ulcer;
  • Active bleeding.

Speak to your physician if you have ever suffered from:

  • Liver disease;
  • Kidney problems;
  • Heart disease, chest pain (angina);
  • Gout

It is unclear if Endur-acin could harm an unborn baby. You might not be able to use Endur-Acin if you are pregnant. Talk to your doctor when you begin to become pregnant.Do not breastfeed.Avoid giving this medication to a child unless you have medical guidance.

What should I do to do it?

Follow all instructions on your prescription label, and go through all medication guides or instructions sheets. Make sure you use the medication exactly as prescribed.Endur-acin may cause flushing (warmth and redness, itching, or tingling sensations underneath your face). These symptoms should diminish over time, as long as you keep taking the medication. The flushing can be more severe when you drink hot or alcoholic beverages shortly after taking this medication.Take the tablet or capsule in its entirety, and don't crush, chew, break, or break it. You can also open it.The dosage you require could change when you switch to a different brand or strength of this medication. Make sure you are using only the strength and form the doctor recommends.When you cease taking Enduracin at any time, consult your doctor prior to taking the medication once more. You might need to restart the medication with less of a dose.This medication can alter the results of certain tests. Inform any physician who is treating patients that you're using Endur-acin.Endur-acin can only be part of a full treatment program, which may include diet, exercise, or weight management. Be sure to follow your diet, medication, and exercise routines carefully.The doctor may suggest you use aspirin or an NSAID (such as Ibuprofen, Advil, or Aleve) to stop flushing. Make sure to take these medicines for the duration of the time your doctor prescribes.Place it in a cool, dry place far from heat and moisture.

What happens if I miss the dose?

Do not take the medicine for as long as you can. However, do not take your missed dose if it's nearing the time to take the next dose. Don't take two doses at a time.

What should be avoided?

Do not drink alcohol. It could increase the risk of damage to your liver and also increase the flushing effects caused by niacin.Do not get up too quickly from a lying or sitting position, as you could be dizzy. Avoid eating foods that are high in cholesterol or fat, and Endur-acin won't be as effective.

Interaction with other drug

It is recommended not to consume colesevelam, colestipol, or cholestyramine in the 4 hour period prior to or after having taken Endur-acin.

Discuss with your physician all other medications, particularly:

  • Other medications to reduce cholesterol or triglycerides
  • Aspirin;
  • Blood pressure medicine;
  • A blood thinner—Warfarin, Coumadin, Jantoven
