What is Diabetic Tuss DM?

Dextromethorphan suppresses coughing. Guaifenesin acts as an expectorant. Diabetic Tuss is a combination medication used to treat chest congestion and cough caused by allergies or the common flu. Dextromethorphan does not work to treat coughs caused by smoking. This leaflet does not list all the brands or forms available. Diabetic Tuss can be used in other ways not mentioned in the medication guide. Side effects of Diabetic Tuss DM

Diabetic tumors can cause severe side effects. Diabetic tumors may cause serious side effects.

  • Mood changes

  • Severe headache

  • Feeling dizzy or anxious, as if you could pass out.

Diabetic tumors may cause the following side effects:

  • Dizziness, drowsiness;

  • Sleep problems (insomnia);

  • Diarrhea

  • Feeling nervous, restless, or anxious

There may be other side effects. Call your doctor if experiencing side effects; to report such effects to FDA call at 1-800-FDA-1088.

Warnings

If you have taken an MAO inhibitor (such as isocarboxazid or linezolid ) within 14 days, such as isocarboxazid or linezolid), do not take this medicine.

Before you take this drug

Diabetic Tuss DM should not be used if an MAO inhibitor has been taken within the last 14 days. A dangerous drug interaction may occur. The MAO inhibitors are isocarboxazid (linezolid), methylene blue injection, phenelzine, and selegiline.

If you suffer from:

  • A cough that produces mucus

  • Chronic bronchitis or asthma.

Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. The medicine you are taking may contain phenylalanine. If you have phenylketonuria, check the label of your medication.

How to take Diabetic Tuss DM?

Carefully follow any directions listed on your package or those provided by your physician.Use cold or cough medicines only as needed until symptoms have cleared up. Follow the directions provided on the label when giving a cough medicine or cold medication to your child. Never use cough and cold medicine to put a young child to sleep.

Measuring liquid medication accurately requires using dosing devices or spoons - however it may also be necessary to shake it first in some instances. Please follow all instructions on your packaging carefully: do not chew, crush or split an Extended-Release Tablet while the granules should be sprinkled directly on to your tongue then swallowed immediately; drink extra liquids while taking this medication in order to loosen congestion and lubricate throat passageways more readily and lubricate throat tissue more lubrically; drink extra liquids while taking this medicine to loosen congestion and soothe throat irritation as quickly as possible and then call your physician; otherwise keep an eye out for heat and moisture within an acceptable room temperature range so as not to become sick again before returning after taking this dose or after 7 days have past; this dose might need adjustment and taking precautionary steps is advised as soon as symptoms don't improve within 7 days (unless headache, fever or rash appears), call your physician immediately as any symptoms don't improve within 7 days, call your physician immediately (keep in mind, this dosage could affect you more quickly!) What happens if I miss the dose?

Alcohol consumption can have side effects when taken with this medication. Before using any other cold or cough medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacist if they contain the same ingredients.

Interaction with other drug

Use this medication with caution if you are taking other medications that can cause sleepiness, slow breathing, or drowsiness (such as an opioid, muscle relaxers, medicine to treat anxiety, or seizures). Before using this medication, ask your doctor or pharmacist if you also use any other medications, such as prescriptions and OTC medicines, vitamins, and herbs. When used in combination, some medicines may cause harmful or unwanted effects. This medication guide does not list all interactions.
