What is Desenex Foot?

Desenex foot antifungal medicine This medication prevents fungus growth on your skin. The skin infections Desenex Foot is used for include athlete’s foot jock itch, ringworm, tinea veriscolor, and yeast infections. Desenex Foot can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side Effect of Desenex Foot

If you experience any of the following signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction: difficulty breathing, hives or swelling to lips, face, tongue or throat - seek medical assistance immediately!

Desenex foot can cause serious side effects. If you experience:

  • Severe blistering, irritation, or redness of the treated skin.

Desenex foot side effects may include:

  • Itching or peeling skin.

Desenex foot can cause side effects, even though the risks are low.

  • Toothache; red or swollen gingivae.
  • Changed sense of taste
  • Nausea, diarrhea;
  • Headache.

Before you take this drug

If you have an allergy to micronazole, then Desenex Foot is not for you. If you have other medical conditions or concerns, always inquire with a healthcare professional or pharmacist as to its suitability for use.

Desenex foot is not known to harm unborn babies. If you are pregnant, do not take this medication without consulting your doctor. There is no way to know if miconazole topical can pass into breast milk or if it will harm a baby who is nursing. If you are breastfeeding a child, do not use this medication without first consulting with a healthcare provider.

How to take Desenex Foot?

Do not exceed the recommended dosage or duration.Utilize the prescribed dose without exceeding it. Do not swallow Desenex Foot; its use should only be applied directly onto the skin and is not recommended for open wounds. Desenex Foot should never be used in either vagina or rectocervix areas of the body.

Before and after using any medication on your hands, unless it's to treat skin disorders on them specifically, be sure to clean both hands well with soap and water before and afterwards. Apply the cream, lotion, spray or powder according to its intended use for two to four weeks as directed by its packaging. Apply twice per day until satisfied. Your physician should tell you whether to cover the treated area. A cotton-gauze dressing may help safeguard clothing. Your doctor should prescribe antifungal medication as directed; otherwise you could experience symptoms before all traces of infection have cleared away completely and skip doses could increase your chance of an additional infection resistant to treatment. If the infection doesn't clear up within two weeks (four for athlete's foot) or worsens, contact your physician as soon as possible. Store away from moisture or heat at room temperature. When not in use, keep the tube tightly sealed.

What happens if I miss the dose?

As soon as you recall, apply the missed dose.If it is almost time for your next dose, do not take an extra one. Instead, wait and take only what you are due. If a missed dose occurs close to when your next scheduled one comes due, do not attempt to catch-up by skipping overdue medication. You should not take extra medicine to compensate for a missed dose.

What happens if I overdose?

Dial 1-800-222-1222 immediately or seek medical assistance as a poison can pose a life threatening danger.

What should be avoided?

Do not get this medication into your eyes, mouth, nose or other sensitive areas. Avoid wearing synthetic clothing that is too tight or restricts airflow. Wear loose-fitting cotton or other natural-fiber clothing until the infection heals.

Interaction with other drug

Miconazole applied topically is unlikely to be affected by other drugs taken orally or injected. Many drugs interact with each other.Inform healthcare providers of all the medications, supplements and herbal treatments you take (including vitamins and herbal remedies).
