What is Calaclear?

Calaclear is a combination medication used to relieve pain, itching, and poison ivy when you come into contact with ivy or oak. Calaclear can also dry out minor skin irritations. Calaclear can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Calaclear

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your lips, face, tongue, or throat. Before you take this drug

If you have an allergy to Calaclear, then it is best not to use it. Consult your doctor before using Calaclear if you're pregnant or nursing. This medicine should not be used on children younger than 2 without consulting a doctor.

How to take Calaclear?

Follow the instructions on the label or those prescribed by your doctor. Take it only by mouth. Topical medicines must only be applied directly to the skin for effective use. Shake well before use. Before each application, clean the affected area using soap and water. Calaclear can be applied to the affected area up to three to four times per day. Calaclear should be stopped, and you should consult your doctor immediately if the symptoms persist or worsen for more than 7 days. Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature.

What happens if I miss the dose?

If it is near to time for your next dose, skip any missed one and wait. Never apply two doses at once.

What happens if I overdose?

Calaclear overdoses are not dangerous. If anyone accidentally swallows the medication, seek emergency medical care or call Poison Help at 1-800-222-1222.

What should be avoided?

Calaclear should not be used on the mucous membranes or eyes.

Interaction with other drug

Other medicines you take will likely not affect the medicine applied topically. Many drugs interact with each other.Inform your healthcare provider of all medications taken, including both prescribed and over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and herbal products.
