What is Amphojel?

Aluminium is a natural mineral. Amphojel is an anti-acid.Amphojel can be used to treat the symptoms of heartburn, upset stomach, acid reflux, sour stomach, or acid indigestion. The medicine can also be used to lower phosphate levels for people suffering from kidney diseases.Amphojel is also employed for other purposes that are not covered in this medication guide.

Side effects of Amphojel

See a doctor immediately. Get medical attention immediately if you notice symptoms or warning signs of an allergic response, such as hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of your lips, face, tongue, throat, or face.

The medication may cause severe adverse consequences. Take the medicine off and contact your doctor immediately if you experience:

  • Intense stomach pain or constipation and loss of appetite
  • Discomfort when you go to the bathroom;
  • Muscle weakness, tiredness;
  • Extreme sleepiness and extreme drowsiness
  • The stool is bloody or tarry and coughs up blood or vomit that resembles coffee grounds.

Prior to use this drug

Heartburn may be a sign of the early signs of a coronary attack. Take immediate medical care. If you are experiencing chest pain that extends to your shoulder or jaw and you experience anxiety or lightheadedness,

Speak with a pharmacist or doctor about whether it is safe to take this medication when you are suffering from:

  • Kidney disease, with a background of kidney stones;
  • Severe constipation;
  • If you are dehydrated;
  • If you are a frequent drinker

Talk to your doctor prior to taking this medication if you are nursing or pregnant.

How to take Amphojel?

Use only as indicated on the label or as directed by your doctor.Amphojel is usually consumed between meals or while sleeping.Drink Amphojel in a complete glass (8 ounces) of water.shake up the oral suspension (liquid) prior to determining the dosage. Make use of the dosing syringe supplied or a dosage-recording device (not the kitchen spoon).Take care not to take Amphojel for more than 2 weeks without a doctor's approval.Maintain at room temperature, far from heat, humidity, and light.

What happens if I miss the dose?

Because amphojel is only used when required, you might not be following a dose schedule. Do not miss any doses when it's time to get the next dose. Don't take two doses in one go.

What happens if I overdose?

Get medical attention in an emergency or contact the Poison Help Line toll-free at 1-800-222-1222.The signs of an overdose could include extreme constipation, the loss of weight and mood swings, confusion or urinating less frequently than usual, or none all the time.

What should be avoided?

Antacids can make it difficult for your body to absorb any other medication you take orally. Do not take other medicines within 2 hours prior to or 2 hours after taking Amphojel.

Interaction with other drugs

Other medications can affect Amphojel, such as prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. Discuss with your doctor all your medications currently in use as well as any medications you are about to start or stop taking.
