Inform your doctor whether you're nursing or planning to breastfeed. The medicine can be passed through your breast milk, and it's unclear whether it could harm the baby. Discuss with your healthcare professional the best way to feed your child while receiving treatment.

What is Abilify? Asimtufii provided?

If you have never used Aripiprazole, it is essential to test their tolerance with oral Aripiprazole before introducing treatment using this injection. Because of the half-life of oral Aripiprazole, it can take as long as two weeks to determine tolerance.

Abilify Asimtufii is an injection to your buttock muscles by your physician. Don't administer it through any other means.

Abilify Asimtufii is prescribed once every two months.

Patients Receiving Oral Antipsychotics

If Abilify Asimtufii injectable is started in patients taking oral aripiprazole, administer the initial dose of Abilify Asimtufii alongside oral Aripiprazole (10 mg to 20 mg) for 14 consecutive days.

For stable patients on an oral antipsychotic (known to be tolerant of Aripiprazole), start by administering the first Abilify Asimtufii infusion alongside the antipsychotic oral for fourteen days.

Patients Receiving Abilify Maintena

Patients who get Abilify Maintena (once a month dosing) are given Abilify Asimtufii at 960 mg (one every two months dosing) instead of the next Abilify Maintena injection. The initial Abilify Asimtufii dose can be administered instead of the second or later injection of Abilify Maintena.

If there are any adverse reactions to the 960 mg dosage, it can be decreased to 720 mg every two months.

Patients could receive the Abilify Asimtufii injectable up to two weeks prior or two weeks following the time-scheduled 2-month date.

What Happens If I Miss a Dose?

If more than eight weeks or less than 14 days have passed between the last injection, administer the next dose as soon as you can—the two-monthly, once every two months schedule should be reintroduced.

If it has been more than fourteen weeks since the last injection, re-inject the concurrent oral aripiprazole medication for 14 days before the next injection.

Before you Take this medication

Do not get up too quickly from lying or sitting in a position where you get dizzy. Avoid driving or engaging in hazardous activities until you understand the effects of Aripiprazole on your body. Dizziness or drowsiness may result in falls, accidents, or serious injuries.

Avoid driving a car, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities until you understand how this medicine affects you. The medicine could affect your thinking, judgment, or motor abilities.

Beware of drinking alcohol. Potentially dangerous side effects can result.

When you take Aripiprazole, it might be more sensitive to extreme heat. Avoid becoming too hot or dehydrated. Get plenty of fluids, particularly in hot weather and when exercising.

Side effects of Abilify Asimtufii

Take immediate medical attention If you notice symptoms of an allergic reaction to Aripiprazole, such as itching and breathing problems and swelling of your lips, face, and tongue.

Contact your physician immediately when you notice any abrupt or new changes in your mood or behavior, such as more or worse depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and trouble sleeping, or if you experience uncontrollably angry, frustration, or aggression. Anxiety, increased activity or talkativeness, or suicidal or self-harming thoughts.

Consult your physician immediately if you are suffering from the following:

  • Intense disturbance, dismay, agitation, or an uneasy feeling;
  • The uncontrollable twitching of your lips, eyes, and tongues, your arms or legs;
  • The appearance of the face is like a mask facial mask, difficulty swallowing, difficulties with speech;
  • seizure (convulsions);
  • Extreme nervous system reaction, extremely rigid (rigid) muscles and sweating, high fever and confusion, rapid or irregular heartbeats, or the sensation that you may faint;
  • Low blood cell counts – chills, fever, sore throat weakening, easy bruising bleeding, unusual or red spots beneath your skin, or
  • Blood sugar levels are high - it can cause increased thirst and urination rate, the mouth is dry, and there's fruity.

You might experience more sexual urges, unusual cravings for gambling, and any other intense desires while taking this medicine. Discuss this with your doctor in the event of this.

Mild Abilify Asimtufii side effects can include the following:

Interaction with Other Drugs

Talk to your doctor about every medication you are taking that you are taking, including prescription drugs and prescription medications such as vitamins and herbal supplements.

The Abilify Asimtufii and other medicines could interact with each other, resulting in dangerous adverse consequences. This medication could alter the way other medicines function and vice versa.

Your doctor can inform you whether taking this injection and other medications is safe. Do not stop or begin medication during treatment without consulting with your doctor.

Take note of the medicines you are taking. Make a list to show your doctor and pharmacist if you are prescribed a new medication.

Inform your healthcare provider that you are taking any of the following medications:

  • Clarithromycin (Biaxin)
  • Antidepressants like fluoxetine (Prozac) as well as paroxetine (Paxil), and Nefazodone
  • Antifungals like fluconazole (Diflucan) ketoconazole (Nizoral) as well as itraconazole (Sporanox)
  • Quinidine
