What is Mi-Acid?

The combination medication Mi-Acid treats acid reflux, stomach upset, and bloating due to gas. It can also be used for stomach discomfort from eating too much or drinking excessively. This medication guide does not list all possible uses of Mi-Acid.

Side effects of Mi-Acid

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergy reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing, hives, swelling in your lips, face, throat, or tongue.

The side effects of this medicine can be serious. If you experience:

Before you take this drug

This medicine should not be used if you have an allergy to aluminum hydroxide or magnesium hydroxide.

Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you're pregnant or nursing. Children aged under 12 should only take this medicine with approval from a physician.

How to take Mi-Acid?

Follow the instructions on the packaging or those prescribed by your physician. The chewable tablet must be chewed before it can be swallowed. Before measuring a dosage, shake the orally suspended liquid. You can use the provided dosing cups or a dose-measuring device. Take no more than is recommended by the label. This medicine should not be taken at the maximum dosage for more than two weeks. Usually, an antacid will be taken until the symptoms are gone. If your symptoms continue after two weeks, seek medical advice immediately. Keep away from heat and moisture. Liquid medicines should not be allowed to freeze.

What happens if I miss the dose?

Mi-Acid can be used as needed, and there is no set schedule. If it is almost time to take your next dose, skip any missed doses. Never take two doses in one go.

What should be avoided?

Avoid taking other medications within 2 hours before or after you take Mi-Acid. Take Mi-Acid at least 2 hours prior to or after taking other medicines.
