What is Vitron-C?

Citrus fruits, tomatoes, potatoes, and green leafy vegetables contain ascorbic acid. Ascorbic acid plays a role in the production of hormones and chemicals, as well as the health of the skin, connective tissue, and immune system.

Carbonyl iron is one form of iron. Iron is essential for many body functions, including the transportation of oxygen through the blood.

Vitron-C, a vitamin and mineral combination supplement, helps the body absorb iron better from food.Vitron-C can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Vitron-C

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, or throat.

Vitron-C side effects may include:

Before you take this drug

How to take Vitron-C?

Do not exceed the recommended dosage or duration. Use the recommended dose and do not exceed it.Tablets should never be crushed, chewed upon, or broken apart. Do not chew or break the tablet.Vitron-C should be taken on an empty stomach, at least one hour before or two hours after eating.Vitron-C can be taken with or without food if you have an upset stomach.Store away from moisture, heat, and cold at a cool temperature.

What happens if I miss the dose?

As soon as you recall, take the missed dose. If your next scheduled dosage is approaching, skip the missed dose. You should not take more medicine to compensate for a missed dose.

What happens if I overdose?

Call the Poison Help Line at 1-800-222-1222 or seek emergency medical care. Iron overdose can be deadly, especially for children.

Iron overdose symptoms include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and bloody stools. Other signs are pale skin, a rapid heartbeat, and numbness or a cold feeling. Other symptoms include numbness, a cold feeling on the lips, sneezing, and gasping for air. A cough may also be present.

What should be avoided?

Vitron-C should not be taken within 2 hours of taking other medications, including antibiotics. Vitron-C may make your body less able to absorb some medicines that you take orally.

Interaction with other drug

Ascorbic acid, carbonyl iron, and other drugs can interact. These include prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal remedies. Inform your healthcare providers of all the medicines you are taking and those you plan to take.
