What is Visken?

Visken is a beta-blocker medication, intended to support both cardiac and circulation health.Hypertension (high blood pressure) is treated with Visken.Visken can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Visken

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing, hives, swelling of your lips, face, tongue, or throat.

Visken may cause serious side effects. If you experience:

  • Rapid weight gain, swelling, and shortness of breath even with mild exercise;
  • Slow or irregular heartbeats
  • A feeling of lightheadedness, as if you could pass out.
  • Unusual changes in mood or behavior

Visken can cause the following side effects:

  • Dizziness;
  • Joint or muscle pain
  • Sleep problems (insomnia);
  • Feeling tired?

Before you take this drug

Visken should not be used if:

  • Asthma;
  • "AV block" (second or third degree);
  • Uncontrolled heart failure
  • Slow heartbeats that caused you to faint
  • If your heart is not pumping blood correctly,

Tell your doctor about any of the following to ensure Visken is right for you:

  • Bronchitis, emphysema;
  • Angina, congestive cardiac failure, and coronary artery disease.
  • Diabetes;
  • A thyroid disorder
  • Is a depressive
  • Liver or kidney disease

Visken is not known to harm unborn babies. Inform your doctor immediately if you are pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant.

Pindolol may pass into the breast milk, which can harm a baby who is nursing. This medicine should not be taken while breastfeeding.Visken is not recommended for anyone under the age of 18.

How to take Visken?

Please follow all the instructions on the prescription label. Your doctor may occasionally alter your dosage. Use this medication only as prescribed. Do not exceed the recommended dose or use it for longer than prescribed.Checking your blood pressure regularly will be necessary.

High blood pressure is often asymptomatic. It is possible that you will need to take blood pressure medication for the rest of your life.Tell the surgeon that you use Visken if you require surgery. It may be necessary to temporarily stop taking the medicine.

If you suddenly stop taking Visken, you may experience unpleasant withdrawal symptoms, such as tremors, sweating, or headaches. You should ask your doctor about how to stop taking this medication safely.Store Visken away from moisture, heat, and light. When not in use, keep the bottle tightly shut.

What happens if I overdose?

As soon as you recall, take the missed dose. If your next scheduled dosage is approaching, skip the missed dose. You should not take more medicine to compensate for a missed dose.

What should be avoided?

Visken can impair your reactions or thinking. You should be careful when driving or doing anything else that requires alertness.

Avoid standing up quickly from a seated or lying-down position. You may feel dizzy. To avoid a fall, get up slowly.

Interaction with other drug

Tell your doctor if you are taking any new medications or if you will stop taking any of your current ones.

  • Digoxin, digitalis;
  • Insulin, or oral diabetes medication;
  • Other blood pressure medications
