What is Visine A.C.?

Tetrahydrozoline acts as a vasoconstrictor. It reduces the redness of the eye by narrowing swollen vessels.Zinc, a mineral, is used to remove mucus and proteins from the surface of the eyes.

Visine 'A.C. for the Eyes' is a combination medication used to relieve minor eye irritations and eye redness.Visine A.C. can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Visine A.C.

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek emergency medical attention: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue, or swelling in your throat.

If you experience any of the following symptoms, stop using Visine A.C. immediately and contact your doctor.

  • Eye redness that persists or worsens
  • Eye pain
  • Changes in your vision
  • Chest pain is characterized by a fast or irregular heartbeat.
  • Feeling short of breath, having a severe headache, or buzzing in the ears

Visine A.C. side effects include:

  • Mild burning or stinging in the eyes;
  • Watery eyes, blurred vision,
  • Dilated pupils

What happens if I miss the dose?

How to take Visine A.C.?

Do not exceed the recommended dosage or duration. Use the recommended dose and do not exceed it.

If you use the medication for too long or too frequently, it can worsen symptoms and damage the blood vessels in your eyes.Before using eye drops, wash your hands.

How to apply eye drops

  • To create a pocket, tilt your head slightly back and pull your lower eyelid down. The tip of the dropper should be pointing down. Squeeze out a few drops by looking up and away.
  • Close your eyes and gently press the inside corner of your eye for approximately 1 minute to prevent the liquid from draining to your tear duct.
  • Only use the recommended number of drops.

Avoid touching the tip or placing it directly on your eye. If the dropper is contaminated, it can cause serious vision problems.

If the liquid is discolored or contains particles, do not use it.Store away from moisture or heat at room temperature. Store at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. When not in use, keep the bottle tightly sealed.

What happens if I miss the dose?

Visine A.C. should be kept out of reach of children. Some eye drops can cause serious health problems for a child if they accidentally swallow or suck on the medicine.

What should be avoided?

Use this medication only when you are not wearing contact lenses. Visine A.C. contains a preservative that can discolor contact lenses. After using this medication, wait at least 15 minutes before inserting your contact lenses.

Interaction with other drug

Other drugs that you may take orally or even inject are unlikely to have any effect on the tetrahydrozoline or zinc used for your eyes. Many drugs interact with each other. Inform your healthcare provider about the medicines you take, including any prescription or over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal remedies.
