What is Systane nighttime?

Side effects of Systane nighttime

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing, hives, swelling of the face, lips, or throat.

If you experience:

  • As with any medication, taking this one may cause eye irritation such as burning or stinging sensations.
  • Eye pain
  • Vision changes

Systane nighttime side effects may include:

  • Mild eye irritation or burning;
  • Itching or redness in your eyes
  • Watery eyes
  • Blurred vision
  • Light sensitivity

Before you take this drug

If you have an allergy to systane nighttime, do not use it. This medication will not prevent or treat an eye infection. If you suspect that you may have an infection, ask your doctor or pharmacist whether it's safe to use systane nighttime. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or nursing.

How to take Systane nighttime?

Read all instructions or guides that come with your medication and follow all directions. Follow the directions on the label. Systane nighttime should be used only after washing your hands. Systane nighttime should not be used. Call your pharmacist immediately if it appears cloudy or if its color has changed.

Avoid touching the tip or placing it directly on your eye. Contamination of an eye dropper or ointment tube tip may result in serious vision impairment, leading to serious vision problems for users. If your symptoms don't improve or worsen while taking systane nighttime, call your doctor. Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature.

What happens if i miss the dose?

Systane nighttime can be used as needed. Follow a schedule and you can avoid missing doses. Never use two doses in one go.

What happens if i overdose?

Overdoses of ocular moisturizer are not dangerous. If anyone accidentally swallows the medication, call 1-800-222-1222 or the poison help line for immediate medical attention.

What should be avoided?

Systane nighttime can cause blurred vision. Do not drive or do any hazardous activities until you have determined how the medication will affect you. You should only use eye drops prescribed by your doctor.

Interaction with other drug

Other medications you take will probably have no impact on the prescription eye drops you use; however, many drugs interact. Please inform your physician of all the medications, over-the-counter and prescription, vitamins, and herbal remedies you are currently taking.
