How to take Simply Saline (nasal)?

Comply with all instructions listed on the label or prescribed by your healthcare provider. Follow the directions on the label of this product when giving it to a child. Take it only by mouth. Nasal products should only be used on the nose. Simply put, saline comes in many forms, including a spray or gel that can be used to rinse the nose. Please read and follow all instructions for use that come with any product. If you don't understand the instructions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

It may be necessary to gently blow your nose prior to using this product. After using the spray bottle, if you've inserted the tip into your nose, wash the tip in hot water. Then dry it with a tissue. Some nasal sprays will spray the product when the bottle is held upright or drop the product when the bottle is turned upside down. After each use, wipe the tip or nozzle of the bottle with a tissue if directed to do so on the label.

If the condition that you are treating using Simply Saline doesn't improve or worsens, call your doctor. Simply Saline is a product that should be replaced according to the instructions on the label. After a period of time, you may have to dispose of the container, even if there is still some product inside.

Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature. Keep the spray canister away from flames or heat. If the canister becomes overheated, it could explode. Empty nasal spray canisters should not be punctured or burned.

What happens if I miss the dose?

You may not have a regular dosing regimen since Simply Saline Nasal is only used as needed. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip any missed ones. Never take two doses in one go.

What happens if I overdose?

A sodium chloride nasal overdose is unlikely to be harmful. If anyone accidentally swallows the product, seek emergency medical care or call Poison Help at 1-800-222-1222.

What should be avoided?

Do not get Simply Saline into your eyes. Share nasal products only with people you trust. Shared nasal spray containers or applicators that are inserted in the nose may allow infection or disease to spread from person to person.

Interaction with other drug

Saline is unlikely to interact with other medications you take. Many drugs interact with each other. Inform your healthcare provider about the medicines you take, including vitamins and herbal remedies.
