What is Robaxin 750?

Robaxin-750 is used in conjunction with physical therapy and rest to treat muscle injuries or conditions. The injection Robaxin-750 is used to treat tetanus (lockjaw), which causes painful muscle tightening. This medication guide does not list all possible uses of Robaxin-750.

Side effects of Robaxin-750

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your lips, face, tongue, or throat.

Robaxin-750 can cause serious side effects. Robaxin-750 should be stopped immediately, and you should consult your doctor if:

  • A feeling of lightheadedness, as if you could pass out.
  • Slow heartbeats
  • A seizure;
  • Jaundice
  • Pain, bruising, or swelling of the skin where Robaxin-750 was injected

Robaxin-750 side effects may include:

  • Headache, dizziness, drowsiness;
  • Fever;
  • Memory problems and confusion
  • Nausea, vomiting, upset stomach;
  • Double vision, or blurred vision, is another name for this phenomenon.
  • Flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly sensation);
  • Sleep problems (insomnia);
  • Lack of coordination

Before you take this drug

If you have an allergy to Robaxin-750, then it is best not to use this product.

Inform your physician of any of the following issues:

  • Kidney disease
  • A seizure;
  • Myasthenia gravis.

Robaxin 750 can harm an unborn child. Use effective contraception to avoid pregnancy, and inform your doctor immediately if you fall pregnant. Breastfeeding may not be possible while taking Robaxin-750. You should consult your doctor if you are concerned about any risks. The use of Robaxin-750 by those younger than 16 is only approved to treat tetanus.

How to take Robaxin 750?

Read all instructions or guides that come with your medication and follow all directions. Follow the instructions on your prescription label. The Robaxin 750 may be part of an overall treatment plan that includes rest, physical therapy, or other pain management measures. Robaxin-750 orally is taken by mouth. After the first two or three days, you may need to lower your dose. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully. Robaxin-750 is either injected directly into the muscle or infused into the vein. Your healthcare provider will administer this injection. The injection of Robaxin-750 is given in a single dose before starting the oral version. Store away from moisture or heat at room temperature. When not in use, keep the bottle tightly shut.

What happens if I miss the dose?

If you are almost due for your next dose, skip the missed one. Never take two doses of the same medicine at once.

What happens if I overdose?

Call 1-800-222-1222 for poison help or seek immediate medical attention. Overdose symptoms may include nausea, extreme drowsiness, fainting, seizures, or a coma.

What should be avoided?

You should avoid driving or engaging in hazardous activities until you are sure how Robaxin-750 affects you. Dizziness and drowsiness may cause accidents or serious injuries. Alcohol consumption can have side effects when taken with this medication.

Interaction with other drug

Do not use Robaxin-750 in combination with drugs that cause sleepiness or slow breathing. Robaxin-750 may be affected by other drugs, such as vitamins and herbal remedies. Inform your doctor of all the medicines you are taking and those that you stop or start using.
