What is Rescon DM?

Chlorpheniramine acts as an antihistamine. Dextromethorphan works as a cough suppressant. Pseudoephedrine works as a decongestant.Rescon DM is a combination medication used to treat allergies, colds, flus, itchiness, and watery eyes caused byRescon-DM does not treat a cough caused by smoking or asthma.Rescon-DM can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side Effects of Rescon DM

Seek immediate medical care if you have difficulty breathing, swelling in the lips or face, or hives.

This medicine can cause serious side effects. If you experience:

  • Severe anxiety, tremor, seizure (convulsions);
  • Urination that is painful or difficult
  • Fast or pounding heartbeats
  • Headache is severe, with pounding in the neck or ears.

Rescon-dm can cause the following side effects:

  • Dizziness, drowsiness;
  • Blurred vision
  • Dry mouth, nose, or throat
  • Increased or decreased urination
  • Nausea and diarrhea.
  • Sleep problems (insomnia);

Warnings

If you've taken an MAO-inhibitor in the last 14 days (such as isocarboxazid or linezolid), don't use this medication.

Before you take this drug

Rescon-DM should not be used if an MAO inhibitor has been taken in the last 14 days. Drug interactions may occur. MAO inhibitors are isocarboxazid (linezolid), methylene blue injection, phenelzine, and other drugs.

If you suffer from:

  • Asthma, or COPD, is characterized by a cough that produces mucus.
  • A blockage of your digestive tract, such as the stomach or intestines;
  • Heart disease, high blood pressure
  • Liver or kidney disease
  • Glaucoma;
  • Urination or prostate problems;
  • Overactive thyroid gland;
  • Pheochromocytoma

The liquid medicine you take may contain phenylalanine. If you have phenylketonuria, check the label of your medication.Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you're pregnant or nursing.

How to take Rescon DM?

Follow the directions on the label or those prescribed by your physician. Cold and cough medicines are only to be used for a short time until symptoms have cleared up.Follow the directions on the label when giving cough medicine or cold medicine. Never use cough and cold medicine to put a child to sleep.Measuring liquid medicine is important. Use the provided dosing device or a dose-measuring tool (not a spoon).The chewable tablet must be chewed before it can be swallowed.Take this medicine for no more than 7 days.Tell your doctor or surgeon, if you've taken this medication within the last few days, if you are going to need medical testing or surgery.Keep away from moisture and heat at room temperature.

What happens if I miss the dose?

Rescon-DM can be used as needed, and there is no set schedule. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip any missed dose. Never take two doses in one go.

What should be avoided?

Alcohol consumption can have side effects when taken with this medication.Do not drive or engage in hazardous activities until you have determined how the medicine will affect you. You may be unable to react properly.Before using any other allergy or sleep medicine that contains similar ingredients, consult your doctor or pharmacist.Exercise in hot weather and avoid overheating. This medication can reduce sweating, and you could be more susceptible to heat stroke.

Interaction with other drug

This medicine should not be taken with any other medications that can cause drowsiness, slow breathing, or anxiety (such as muscle relaxers, opioids, or seizure medicine).
