What is Jet-Alert?

Jet- alert helps you to feel awake or alert when you're tired or drowsy. Jet-Alert is not a replacement for sleep. This medication guide does not list all possible uses of Jet-Alert.

Side effects of Jet-Alert

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your lips, face, throat, or tongue.

If you experience:

  • Continued tiredness or sleepiness
  • Sleep problems that persist

Jet-Alert side effects may include:

  • Feeling restless
  • Loss of appetite
  • sleep problems (insomnia).

Before you take this drug

Jet-Alert cannot be used by anyone under the age of 12 years. The medicine gum is not for anyone under 18 years of age or who has a sensitivity to the medicine.

If you have had any of the following:

  • Heart problems
  • high Blood Pressure
  • A stomach Ulcer,
  • liver diseas.

How to take et-Alert?

Follow the instructions on the label or those prescribed by your doctor. Jet-Alert is usually found in each dose, which is about the same as one cup of coffee, can of coke, or energy drink.

Do NOT use more than the recommended amount on the label. According to US Food and Drug Administration, you should not consume more than 400 milligrams per day of caffeine in any form. Jet-Alert can be taken with or without food.

Never chew more than two pieces of Jet-Alert at a time. The gum should not be swallowed whole. Store away from heat and moisture at room temperature.

What happens if I miss the dose?

Jet-Alert can be used as needed and you might not have a regular dosing routine. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip any missed dose. Never take two doses in one go.

What happens if I overdose?

Call 1-800-222-1222 for Poison Help or seek immediate medical attention.

Symptoms of an overdose include rapid heartbeat, difficulty sleeping, and feeling nervous or irritable.

What should be avoided?

Avoid foods or drinks containing Jet-Alert such as chocolate milk, coffee, tea or cola.

Interaction with other drug

Before using Jet-Alert, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Jet-Alert may be affected by other drugs, such as prescription and over-the counter medicines, vitamin and herbal product. Inform your doctor of all the medicines you are taking and those that you stop or start using.
