What is Fyarro?

Fyarro can be used to treat adult patients with a specific type of perivascular ectoid cell tumor (PEComa). Fyarro can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Fyarro

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your lips, face, tongue, or throat.

Fyarro can cause serious side effects. If you experience:

  • Feeling short of breath, chest pain, dry cough,
  • Any bleeding that won't stop, including nosebleeds, bleeding gums, and abnormal vaginal bleeds
  • Low blood potassium can cause leg cramps, constipation, increased thirst, urination, numbness, or even a limp feeling.
  • Signs of infection: fever, chills, and a sore throat. Body aches, unusual fatigue, loss of appetite, bruising, bleeding, etc.
  • Low blood cell counts may cause fever, chills and fatigue as well as mouth or skin sores. They may also result in easy bruising, unusual bleeds, pale skin on the hands and feet, or a feeling of being light-headed.

Fyarro can cause the following side effects:

  • Blisters or ulcers on your lips, red or swollen gingivae, difficulty swallowing
  • Fever, chills, and body aches
  • Tiredness;
  • Cough;
  • A changed sense of taste
  • Rash;
  • Nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting;
  • Swelling;
  • Joint, muscle, or bone pain
  • Loss of appetite and weight

Warnings

Fyarro is not recommended for men or women who are pregnant. Fyarro may harm a baby when the mother or father are using it.

Before you take this drug

Fyarro should not be used if you have an allergy to it, any other rapamycin-derived products, or albumin.

Inform your doctor immediately of any of the following issues:

  • Liver disease
  • Diabetes;
  • Breathing problems
  • Bleeding problems

Fyarro may harm an unborn child if either the mother or father uses this medication. Continue to use birth control for at least 12 weeks after your last dose. Inform your doctor immediately if you become pregnant. Before starting the treatment, you will need a negative pregnancy result. Fyarro can affect the fertility of men and women. Fyarro may make it harder for either parent to get pregnant if they are taking this medication. Do not breastfeed for 2 weeks after taking this medication.

How to take Fyarro?

Read and follow all instructions or guides provided with your medication. Sometimes your doctor will change the dose. A healthcare professional injects Fyarro into a vein over a period of 30 minutes on the first and eighth days of each 21-day cycle. You will need to have your blood sugar checked regularly, and you may also need other medical tests.

What happens if I miss the dose?

Immediately call your physician if you miss taking one or more doses; get instructions from them as to what action should be taken next.

What happens if I overdose?

In a medical setting, an overdose is treated immediately.

What should be avoided?

Avoid receiving "live" vaccinations. Fyarro may affect the effectiveness of your vaccine. Live vaccines are measles (MMR), rubella, rotavirus (typhoid), yellow fever, varicella, zoster, typhoid (chickenpox), typhoid (shingles), and rotavirus (HTML4_ swine flu HTML4_). Grapefruit can interact with Fyarro, causing side effects. Avoid consuming grapefruit products.

Interaction with other drug

Sometimes taking multiple medications at the same time is not recommended for optimal safety.Some drugs may affect the blood levels of the drugs that you are taking, causing side effects or making them less effective. Fyarro may be affected by other drugs, such as prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. Inform your doctor of all the other medications you take.
