Before you take this drug

How to take Elimite?
Follow the directions on the label or as directed by your physician. Avoid using larger than smaller quantities or for longer periods than suggested.You might experience a brief increase in swelling, itching, or redness of the treated skin after you begin to use Elimite.Do not consume by mouth. This medication is intended for use solely on the skin. Avoid applying the medicine to wounds or open cuts. If the medication comes into contact with your mouth or eyes, then rinse it out using the water. Use the surface spray only on the surfaces of your home and not on your skin.You may have shaken the medicine prior to every use. Be sure to follow the directions on the label of the medicine.To treat scabies:
- Cleanse and dry the skin. Apply a thin coating of this treatment to every body part, from the neck to the soles of your feet. Massage it thoroughly. Apply the cream to your skin for anywhere from 8 to 14 hours. After that, cleanse it completely.
- When you use Elimite for an infant Apply the medication to the temples, scalp, and forehead. Do not apply it close to the eyes, nose, mouth, or genitals.
- If your problem does not disappear after 14 days, try Elimite once more.
Treatment of lice on the head: lice:
- Shampoo your hair exclusively (no conditioners or two-in-one shampoos). Rinse thoroughly, then towel dry the hair, allowing it to remain damp.
- Make sure your eyes are protected with the help of a washcloth or towel. Apply the medication to fully coat all hair and let it sit for over 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.
- It is also possible to employ a nit comb in order to get rid of lice eggs from your hair. Hair should be slightly damp before using a combing. Only work on one piece of hair, combing 1 to 2 inches of hair, starting from the scalp and ending at the ends.
- Rinse the nit-comb regularly when using it. Put the removed nits in a plastic bag, then throw it in the garbage.
- Do a check every day to ensure the no-nits have been removed.
- If you notice lice after 7 days of the first treatment, apply for another application.
Treatment of the symptoms of pubic lice (crabs):
- All sexual partners must be treated with respect.
- Clean and dry the area to be treated. Apply Elimite to all pubic hairs as well as any hairs that surround it in the areas around the anus and thighs (avoid areas within the rectum and vagina).
- Then leave the medication on for 10 minutes. After that, work it into a lather, and then rinse using warm water.

What should be avoided?
Rinse your eyes with water. Rinse with water if Elimite becomes a problem for your eyes.Scabies and lice are extremely contagious. Avoid contact with anyone until your lice infection is gone. Do not share the hair brush, combs, accessories such as hats, clothing sheets, or other objects for personal use.Do not take other medications for the same areas that were treated with Elimite unless your physician advises you to.
Interaction with other drug
It's unlikely that other medications you take orally can have an impact on the topically applied Elimite. However, many medications can interact with each other. Be sure to inform your health professionals about the medicines you take, such as prescription and over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and herbs.
