What is Children's triacting?

Children's triacting is a combination medication used to treat minor aches, pains, or fevers due to throat irritation or the cold.Children's triacting does not treat coughs caused by asthma or emphysema, nor can it be used to treat a smoker's cough.This medication guide does not list all possible uses for children's medication.

Side effects of Children's triacting

If you experience any of the following signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction: difficulty breathing, hives or swelling to lips, face or throat - seek immediate medical assistance immediately!Acetaminophen can cause life-threatening skin reactions. This is even if you've taken it and haven't had a reaction. Call your doctor immediately if you notice skin reddening, blistering or peeling.

The medicine can cause serious side effects. If you experience:

  • Redness or swelling
  • New or worsening symptoms
  • An ongoing cough that is accompanied by a rash, headache, or both
  • Liver problems: loss of appetite, nausea, fatigue, itchiness, dark urine, sand-coloured stools, and jaundice

Some of the common side effects associated with children's playing include:

  • Upset stomach;
  • Confuse or confuse
  • Drowsiness.

There may be other side effects. Call your physician immediately if experiencing side effects; otherwise contact the fda's poison center at 1-800-fda-1088 in order to report adverse events.

Warnings

Children's triacting should not be used if you suffer from severe liver diseases.Follow the directions carefully when taking this medication. Overdoses of acetaminophen may cause liver damage or death.If you experience nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, or loss of appetite, or if your urine is dark or your stools are clay-coloured, call your doctor immediately.If you notice skin redness, rashes, blistering or peeling following taking any medicine prescribed to you by your healthcare provider, discontinue taking it immediately and consult your physician as soon as possible.

Before you take this drug

If you are allergic or have any of the following:

  • Severe liver disease
  • If you have taken a mao inhibitor within the last 14 days, examples include isocarboxazid (linezolid), phenelzine (phenelzine injection), rasagiline (selegiline), or tranylcypromine.

If you suffer from:

  • A chronic cough or a mucus-filled cough
  • If you have liver disease or drink more than three alcoholic drinks per day,

Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you're pregnant or nursing.Phenylalanine can be found in artificially sweetened liquid medicines. If you have phenylketonuria, check the label of your medication.

How to take Children's triacting?

Follow the directions on the package or those prescribed by your physician. Acetaminophen can cause liver damage or death. Cold and cough medicines are only to be used for a short time until symptoms have cleared.When treating a child with acetaminophen or dextromethorphan, only use the dose-measuring syringe or dropper that is included in the paediatric form. Follow the instructions on the label of the medicine.The chewable tablet must be chewed before it can be swallowed.Measuring liquid medicine is important. Use the provided dosing device or a dose-measuring tool (not a spoon).If you experience a fever that lasts longer than three days or if the pain or cough becomes worse or lasts for more than five days, call your doctor.Tell your doctor or surgeon if you've taken children's triacting in the last few days.Store away from moisture or heat at room temperature. Liquid medicines should not be allowed to freeze.

What happens if i miss the dose?

You may not have a regular dosing regimen because this medication is only used as needed. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip any missed dose. Never take two doses in one go.

What happens if i overdose?

Call the poison help line at 1-800-222-1222 or seek emergency medical care. Acetaminophen overdoses can cause liver damage or death.Early symptoms of acetaminophen poisoning include nausea, vomiting, weakness, and loss of appetite. Other symptoms include dark urine, upper stomach pain, and yellowing skin or eyes.

What should be avoided?

Avoid alcohol. Alcohol can cause liver damage.Before using any other medication that contains dextromethorphan or acetaminophen (sometimes abbreviated apap), consult your doctor or pharmacist. Acetaminophen overdoses can be fatal.Children's tripping can affect your driving and other hazardous activities. You may be unable to react.

Interaction with other drug

Children's behaviour may be affected by other drugs, such as prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Inform your doctor of all the other medications you take.
