What is Carbocaine HCl?

Carbocaine hcl blocks nerve impulses, which send pain signals to the brain. Carbocaine hcl can be used to anaesthetize an epidural block or spinal block. Also, it is used to anaesthetize dental treatments. Carbocaine hcl can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Carbocaine HCl

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek emergency medical attention: hives; itching; skin redness; nausea; vomiting; sweating; feeling hot; rapid heartbeats; difficulty breathing; sneezing; dizziness; fainting; swelling on your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

If you:

  • Metallic taste in the mouth; numbness or tingling of your lips and mouth.
  • Headache, ringing in the ears, blurred sight, slurred words,
  • Feeling like you could pass out; confusion; severe drowsiness
  • Slow heartbeat; weak pulse; shallow or weak breathing
  • Fever, neck stiffness, and increased sensitivity to lights.
  • Feeling anxious or restless, or experiencing muscle twitching;
  • Continued numbness or weakness in your legs and feet
  • Loss of bladder or bowel function;
  • Loss of sensation in the lower abdomen, groyne, or genital area;
  • Urination that is painful or difficult
  • Rapid heart rate. Feeling hot.

Carbocaine hcl can cause the following side effects:

  • Feeling anxious, restless, or excited
  • Depression, dizziness;
  • Tremors
  • Ringing in the ears and blurred vision

Before you take this drug

If you've ever experienced an allergic reaction to a numbing medication, carbocaine hcl should be avoided.

  • Coronary arterial disease
  • Epilepsy

FDA pregnancy class C There is no information on whether carbocaine hcl can harm an unborn child. You should tell your doctor if, or if, you plan to become pregnant while taking Carbocaine hcl.

Mepivacaine does not pass into breast milk. It is also unknown if it can harm a baby who is nursing. You should tell your doctor if a child is breastfed.

How to take Carbocaine HCl?
