What is Amnesteem?

Amnesteem is a type of vitamin A that helps treat severe acne that has not been treated with other methods, such as antibiotics.Amnesteem can only be purchased through a pharmacy that is certified as part of a specific programme known as iPLEDGE.Amnesteem can also be employed for other purposes that are not covered in this guideline for medication.

Side effects of Amnesteem

Contact emergency medical assistance. If you notice symptoms warning signs of an allergic response (hives and breathing problems or swelling of your throat or face) or an extreme skin reaction (fever and sore throat, eye burning, irritation, and the skin is red or purple and blisters and peels),

Amnesteem can cause severe adverse reactions. Stop taking Amnesteem and contact your physician immediately if you suffer from:

  • Issues in your hearing or vision;
  • Muscle as well as joint discomfort, bone pain, and low backache

Warnings

Amnesteem in one dose can result in severe birth defects or even the death of a child. Do not take Amnesteem if you are pregnant or have the potential to be pregnant.It is necessary to have a positive pregnancy test prior to taking Amnesteem. Additionally, you will be required to use two types of contraceptives to avoid the possibility of pregnancy while taking this medication. Stop taking this medicine and consult your physician immediately if you believe you are pregnant.

Prior to use this drug

Amnesteem could result in miscarriage, premature birth, severe birth defects, or even death for a baby in the event that the mother consumes this medication at the time of conception or pregnancy. Even one dose of isotretinoin could cause serious birth defects to the baby's eyes and ears, as well as the skull, face, heart, brain, and Do not take this medication in the event that you are pregnant or have the potential to be pregnant.

For women: Unless you have had your uterus or ovaries eliminated (total hysterectomy with an oophorectomy) or you have been in the menopausal stage for at least 12 months consecutively, then you are thought to be in a position to become pregnant. Stop using Amnesteem immediately and call your physician immediately when you experience unprotected sexual relations when you stop using birth control, if your periods are not as regular, or if you suspect that you are pregnant. If you fall pregnant while using this medicine, contact the iPLEDGE pregnancy registry at 1-866-495-654.Avoiding sexual interaction (abstinence) is the most efficient method for keeping a woman from becoming pregnant.It is not recommended to use Amnesteem if you have an allergy to it.

Speak to your doctor if you were ever diagnosed with:

  • Depression or mental illnesses
  • Asthma;
  • The liver condition;
  • Diabetes;
  • The heart condition, also known as the high level of cholesterol;
  • Osteoporosis or low bone mineral density
  • An eating disorder, such as orexia;
  • A drug or food; an allergy to a food or drug;
  • An intestinal disorder like an inflammatory bowel disorder as well as ulcerative colitis.

Do not breastfeed.Not permitted for use by anyone under 12 years old.

How to take Amnesteem?

Follow the instructions on your prescription label, and review all medication guides and instructions sheets. What should be avoided?

Don't consume a vitamin or mineral supplement containing vitamin A except if your physician tells you to.Don't give blood during the time you are taking Amnesteem and for a minimum of 30 days after stopping the medication. Donated blood that is later donated to a pregnant woman may cause birth defects in the baby if it contains any amount of isotretinoin.When you take Amnesteem and for at least six months after the last dose, avoid using wax hair removers, lasers, or dermabrasion treatments. The result of scarring could beAmnesteem may cause you to burn your skin more quickly. Avoid tanning beds and sunlight. Be sure to wear protective attire and sunblock (SPF 30 or more) while you're outdoors.Avoid driving and other hazardous activities until you are aware of how self-esteem affects your vision. Amnesteem could affect your vision, particularly at night.

Interaction with other drugs

Tell your physician about any autres medications, which includes:

  • Phenytoin;
  • John's wort (which may cause birth control pills to be less efficient);
  • Mineral or vitamin supplements;
  • Birth control pills that contain only progestin (mini-pills are not guaranteed to perform as well if taken in conjunction with amnesteem);
  • Steroid medicine;
  • A tetracycline antibiotic that includes doxycycline as well as minocycline.
