What is Diabetic Tuss DM Maximum Strength?

Dextromethorphan suppresses coughing. Guaifenesin acts as an expectorant. Diabetic DM Max Strength is a combination medication used to treat chest congestion and coughs caused by the cold or allergies. Dextromethorphan does not treat a cough caused by smoking. Side effects of Diabetic Tuss DM Maximum Strength

Diabetic Tuss DM maximum strength may cause serious side-effects. Diabetic Tuss Maximum Strength should be stopped immediately if you experience:

  • Mood changes
  • Severe headache
  • Feeling dizzy or anxious, as if you could pass out.

Warnings

If you've taken an MAO-inhibitor in the last 14 days (such as isocarboxazid or linezolid), do not take this medication.

Before you take this drug

Diabetic Tuss Maximum Strength should not be used if an MAO inhibitor has been taken within the last 14 days. A dangerous drug interaction may occur. MAO inhibitors are isocarboxazid (linezolid), phenelzine (phenelzine injection), rasagiline (selegiline), and methylene blue injection.

If you suffer from:

  • A cough that produces mucus
  • Chronic lung disease, or asthma.

Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. This medication may contain phenylalanine.If you suffer from phenylketonuria, please read and carefully consider all labels of medications prescribed.

How to take Diabetic Tuss DM Maximum Strength?

Follow the directions on the label or those prescribed by your physician. Cold and cough medicines are only to be used for a short time until symptoms have cleared up. Follow the directions on the label or those given to you by your physician when taking cold and cough medicines, but only until symptoms have subsided completely. Adhere to the instructions on the label when giving cough or cold medicines to children, never using cough and cold medications as sleep inducers. Measuring liquid medicines accurately is of utmost importance; for this, use either the dosing device provided, or another appropriate dose-measuring tool (not spoon). Before measuring out a dose, it may be necessary to shake the liquid. Please follow all instructions listed on your label for best results. Avoid chewing, crushing or breaking an extended-release tablet. Simply sprinkle them directly on to your tongue, and swallow quickly afterwards. Be sure to consume extra fluids while taking this medication in order to ease congestion and protect the throat. This may help relieve discomfort while simultaneously relieving discomfort in other parts of the body. If your symptoms fail to improve within seven days or you experience headaches, fevers, rashes or any other related signs and symptoms, consult with a physician immediately. Inform the surgeon if you have taken this medication within the last week or so. Store at room temperature away from heat and moisture to extend its shelf life.

What happens if I miss the dose?

Diabetic Tuss Maximum Strength can be used as needed, and you don't need to follow a schedule. If it is almost time to take your next dose, skip any missed doses. Never take two doses in one go.

What should be avoided?

Diabetic Tuss Maximum Strength can affect your reactions. Avoid driving and other hazardous activities until you are familiar with how they will affect you. You may be unable to react. Alcohol combined with this medication may produce side effects that should be carefully considered before being taken together. Before using any additional cold or cough medicines, consult with your physician or pharmacist if any contain similar active ingredients.

Interaction with other drug

Use this medicine only if you are not taking any other medications that can cause drowsiness, slow breathing, or cause drowsiness (such as an opioid, muscle relaxant, anxiety medicine, or seizure medicine). Before using this medication, ask your doctor or pharmacist if you also use any other medications, such as prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
