What is Zzzquil?

Zzzquil can be described as an antihistamine that minimizes the effect of the chemical histamine that naturally occurs in the body.

Zzzquil is an aid to sleep for the relief of insomnia and also to cut down on the time required to fall asleep in the event that you are having trouble getting to sleep.zzzquil could be used to treat other conditions that are not mentioned in this guideline.

Important Information

Antihistamines should not be used as medications to make children restless.

Before you take this drug

You shouldn't take zzzquil in case you have an allergy to it.This medication is not recommended for use in children younger than 12 years old.

Consult a pharmacist or doctor to determine if it's safe to take zzzquil in the event of other medical conditions, including:

  • Obstruction in the digestive tract (stomach and intestines);
  • Bladder obstruction or other issues;
  • A colostomy or ileostomy;
  • Kidney or liver disease
  • Asthma, chronic obstructive respiratory illness (COPD), or any other breathing disorders.
  • Cough that is mucus-filled or a cough that is caused by smoking, emphysema, or persistent bronchitis;
  • Heart disease and high blood pressure;
  • Glaucoma;
  • A thyroid disorder;
  • If you are taking potassium (Cytra, Epiklor, K-Lyte, K-Phos Kaon, Klor-Con, Polycitra, and Urocit-K),

It isn't known if zzzquil can harm an unborn baby. Talk to your doctor prior to taking this medication if you are expecting

Diphenhydramine is a chemical that can be absorbed in breast milk and could harm a nursing child. Antihistamines can also affect the production of breastmilk. Talk to your doctor prior to taking this medication if you are breastfeeding.Senior citizens are more likely to experience adverse reactions from this medication.

What should I do to consume Zzzquil?

Take exactly as indicated on the label or as directed by your physician. Don't use it in greater quantities, in smaller amounts, or for a longer time than suggested.Don't give the medicine to children younger than twelve years of age.Antihistamines should not be used as medications to make children restless.

Measure the amount of liquid medicine using the dosing needle provided or using a specially designed dosing spoon or medicine cup. If you don't have an instrument for measuring doses, you can ask your pharmacist for one.

Side effects of Zzzquil

Stop taking zzzquil and contact your doctor immediately if you are suffering from:

  • Heartbeats and the sound heartbeat that is fluttering around your chest
  • Urination that is painful or difficult
  • Minimal or no urination;
  • Confusion, feeling like you might pass out;
  • Tension in your jaw or neck, uncontrollable movements of the tongue

Common side effects could include:

  • Dizziness or drowsiness; loss of coordination
  • Dry nose, mouth, or throat;
  • Constipation, upset stomach;
  • Eye dryness, vision blurred,
  • Daytime drowsiness, as well as a "hangover" feeling after nighttime use.
