What is Systane Overnight Therapy?

There are numerous types and brands of ocular lubricant available, but not all of them are included in this document. Systane Overnight Therapy is used by adults to alleviate irritation, burning, and discomfort due to dry eyes. Systane Overnight Therapy could be used for other purposes not covered in this medication guide.

Side Effects of Systane Overnight Therapy

See a doctor immediately. Get medical attention immediately if you notice symptoms that indicate an allergic reaction, like hives, trouble breathing, and swelling of your lips, face, and tongue. Stop taking Systane Overnight Therapy and call your doctor if you suffer from extreme burning, stinging, or eye irritation following the use of the medicine.

Before you take this drug

You shouldn't use Systane overnight therapy if you have an allergy to it. This medication will not cure or prevent eye infections.

How to take Systane Overnight Therapy?

Follow the instructions on the prescription label and review all medication guides and instruction sheets. Follow the medication exactly as prescribed. Cleanse your hands before applying Systane Overnight Therapy. Do not take Systane Overnight Therapy, and call your doctor if the medication appears cloudy or has changed color. Don't touch the tip on the dropper ointment tube. Do not place it directly on your eyes. Contamination of the tip could cause an eye infection, which could result in severe vision issues. Contact your physician if your symptoms don't improve or if they get worse after using Systane Overnight Therapy. Keep at room temperature, free of heat and moisture.

What happens If I miss the dose?

Systane overnight therapy should be utilized when it is needed. If you're following a prescribed dosage, do not miss any doses. Don't take two doses at the same time.

What happens If I Overdose?

A dose of ocular lubricant that is too high is not likely to pose any risk. Take immediate medical attention or contact the Poison Help Line at 1-800-222-1222. If you have accidentally swallowed the medicine.

What should be avoided?

Systane Overnight Therapy can result in blurred or distorted vision. Avoid driving or engaging in hazardous activities until you are aware of the effects this medicine can have on your vision. Do not use any other eye medication unless your doctor recommends it.

Interaction with other drugs
