How to take Syrex Flush?

Do not exceed the dosage or frequency prescribed by your physician. Use only the recommended dose. Do not exceed it.

Syrex is used every time an IV catheter is used. You should follow your doctor's directions on how often to flush the catheter. Check the container of the solution before using it to ensure there aren't any leaks. If the medication has changed color or contains particles, do not take it. You can call your doctor to get a new prescription.

If your IV tubing, catheter, or needle becomes blocked, or if the medicine or flush is not flowing as it should, call your doctor. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of sharps disposal containers (and where to find one). This container should be kept out of the reach of pets and children. Syrex should be stored at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. When not in use, keep all your catheter flushing supplies in a dry and clean place.

What happens if I miss the dose?

You are unlikely to miss a dosage if you flush your catheter every time you use it.
