Sinarest

Generic name: acetaminophen chlorpheniramine and pseudoephedrine (pronounced [a-seet a-MIN-oh fen], klor-fen IR-a meen, soo doe-e FED-rin])

Drug class: upper respiratory combinations

What is Sinarest?

Sinarest is an anti-allergy medicine that treats headaches, fevers, body aches, and symptoms such as runny noses, sneezings, itchings, watery eyelids, sinus congestion, etc. Acetaminophen relieves pain and reduces fever.

Chlorpheniramine helps mitigate the side effects of histamine on your body. Histamine may cause symptoms such as sneezing and itching. It can also lead to watery eyes and a runny or watery nose. Pseudoephedrine works as a nasal decongestant by shrinking blood vessels. Nasal congestion can be caused by dilated blood vessels. Sinarest can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

If you notice skin redness, a rash, or blisters that are peeling off and spreading, stop taking the medicine immediately and contact your doctor.
