What is Rynex?

Rynex PE, a combination medication, is used to treat the symptoms of the cold and seasonal allergies. These include sneezing or runny noses, itchy or watery eyes, or a stuffy, itchy nose. Rynex PE can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side effects of Rynex

If you experience symptoms indicative of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical assistance: hives, difficulty breathing and swelling of lips, face, tongue or throat.

Rynex PE can cause serious side effects. Rynex PE should be stopped immediately, and you should consult your doctor if:

  • Sleeplessness, anxiety, or dizziness
  • Chest pain caused by a fast or irregular heartbeat
  • Little or no urinating is acceptable.
  • Dangerously high blood pressure can cause symptoms such as a severe headache, ringing in the ears, anxiety, and shortness of breath.
  • If your symptoms don't improve after seven days or you have a temperature
  • If new symptoms appear,
  • Your experience could include less serious side effects or none at all.

There may be other side effects. For medical advice regarding side effects, call your physician. Alternatively, the FDA can be reached at 1-800-FDA-1088 in order to report them.

Warnings

Use exactly as directed on the package and label. Follow the directions provided on your label or package.

Before you take this drug

Rynex PE should not be used if an MAO inhibitor has been taken in the last 14 days. It is possible that a dangerous drug interaction will occur. MAO inhibitors are isocarboxazid (linezolid), phenelzine (rasagiline), selegiline (tranylcypromine), and rasagiline. This medicine should not be used if you have an allergy to brompheniramine or phenylephrine.

Have You Suffered From Any of These Issues:

  • A breathing problem, such as emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
  • Diabetes;
  • High blood pressure, heart disease
  • Urination or prostate problems;
  • Glaucoma;
  • Overactive thyroid.

Before taking this medication during your pregnancy or nursing period, always seek advice from a licensed physician first. This medicine should not be given to children younger than six years old without consulting a doctor.

How to take Rynex?

Follow the instructions on the label or those prescribed by your doctor. Antihistamines should not be used to put a child to sleep. Use the measuring device provided to measure liquid medicines (not a spoon). Store at room temperature away from heat and moisture to prolong shelf life.

What happens if I miss the dose?

You may not have a schedule for cold medicine, as it is taken when needed. Use the missed dose immediately if you use the medication regularly. If your next scheduled dosage is near, skip the missed dose. You should not take extra medicine to compensate for a missed dose.

What happens if I overdose?

Call 1-800-222-1222 for poison help or seek immediate medical attention.

What should be avoided?

This medication can affect your ability to think or react. You should be careful when driving or doing anything else that requires you to be alert. Rynex PE and alcohol can have side effects. Before using any other cold or allergy medicine or sleeping medication, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Brompheniramine and phenylephrine are found in many combination medications. You can get too much medicine by using certain products in combination. You can check the label of a medication to see if it contains antihistamines or decongestants.

Interaction with other drug

Rynex PE can make you more drowsy. Before taking an opioid, a sleeping tablet, a muscle-relaxing medication, or medicine to treat anxiety or seizures, consult your doctor. Before taking this medication, make sure that you inform both your physician and pharmacist if you also take other drugs such as vitamins or herbal remedies, since taking multiple medicines at the same time could increase risks or cause undesirable side effects - this medication guide does not cover every possible interaction that might arise between medications.
