What is Ridaura?

Ridaura, a gold form, reduces the inflammation process.Ridaura treats rheumatoid arthritis in adults.Ridaura should only be prescribed to those who are unable to take other RA medications or if other treatments have failed or stopped working.Ridaura does not reverse cartilage or joint damage already present in your body.Ridaura can be used in other ways not mentioned in this guide.

Side-effects of Ridaura

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your lips, face, tongue, or throat.

Ridaura can cause serious side effects. If you experience:

  • Pale skin, easy bruising (nosebleeds or bleeding gums), and purple or red patches under the skin are all signs of a problem.
  • Feeling unusually tired or short of breath
  • Itching or severe skin
  • Feeling short of breath, a dry cough, or sudden chest pain;
  • Severe or persistent diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting
  • Black, bloody, or tarry stools
  • Kidney problems include puffy eyes, swelling of the ankles or feet, bloody urine, and urine that is foamy.

Ridaura can cause more stomach side effects than gold injections. Tell your doctor if these side effects are causing you concern if you switched from gold to capsules. It may take a few months to see improvement in your symptoms.

Ridaura can cause a variety of side effects.

  • Diarrhea, loose stools;

  • Blisters or ulcers on your lips, red or swollen gingivae, difficulty swallowing

Warnings

Ridaura should not be used if you've ever experienced a severe reaction from gold therapy that affected your skin, lungs, blood cells, stomach, or intestines.Ridaura is a gold-based product that may cause toxic symptoms such as itching, mouth ulcers, blood in urine, or severe diarrhea.If you experience severe itching or skin rash, mouth sores or ulcers, diarrhea or severe nausea, pale skin or unusual fatigue, easy bleeding or bruising, blood in urine or stools, or if your cough contains blood, call your doctor immediately.

Before you take this drug

Ridaura should not be used if there is an allergy to it or if the gold therapy has caused you medical problems, including:

  • An allergic skin reaction
  • Stomach or intestinal problems
  • A breathing disorder;
  • A bone marrow disease;
  • A severe blood cell disorder.

Tell your doctor about any of the following:

  • A bone marrow disease or a weak immune system.
  • Kidney disease
  • Liver disease
  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Ridaura is not known to harm unborn babies. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.Ridaura should not be used while breastfeeding.Ridaura should not be used by anyone under the age of 18.

How to take Ridaura ?

Read all the instructions or guides that come with your medication and follow the directions. Sometimes, your doctor will change the dose. You must take the medication exactly as prescribed. Take this medication with a glass of water.Your symptoms may not improve until 6 months after using this medication. Tell your doctor if they do not improve within 3 to 4 months.Ridaura increases your risk of bleeding and infection. You will require frequent medical tests.You may need to have your liver and kidney functions checked.Store Ridaura away from moisture, heat, and light at room temperature.

What happens if I miss the dose?

If you are almost due for your next dose, skip the missed one. Never take two doses of the same medicine at once.

What happens if I overdose?

Call 1-800-222-1222 for poison help or seek immediate medical attention.

What should be avoided?

Ridaura can make your skin more susceptible to the sun and cause a rash. Avoid tanning beds or sunlight. When you're outdoors, wear protective clothing and use sunblock (SPF 30 or higher).

Interaction with other drug

Tell your doctor about your other medications, including:

  • Gold injections
  • Hydroxychloroquine;
  • Penicillamine;
  • Phenytoin;
  • High doses of steroids ( prednisone and others);
  • Drugs that can weaken the immune system include Azathioprine, Cyclophosphamide Methotrexate, and others.
