Side effects of Refresh Optive Mega-3
If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing, hives, swelling of the face, lips, or throat.
If you experience:
- After using the medication, you may experience severe eye irritation, burning, or stinging.
- Eye pain
- Vision changes
Refresh Optive Mega-3 can cause the following side effects:
- Mild eye irritation or burning;
- Itching or redness in your eyes
- Watery eyes
- Blurred vision
- Light sensitivity

Before you take this drug
Refresh Optive Mega-3 should not be used if you have an allergy to it. The medicine does not treat or prevent eye infections.If you suspect that you may have an infection, ask your doctor or pharmacist if Refresh Optive Mega-3 is safe to use.Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or nursing.
How to take Refresh Optive Mega-3?
Read all instructions or guides that come with your medication and follow all directions. Follow the directions on the label.Use Refresh Optive Mega-3 only after washing your hands.Refresh Optive Mega-3 should not be used. Call your pharmacist if it appears cloudy or if its color has changed.Avoid touching the tip or placing it directly on your eye. The tip of the eye dropper or ointment tube can cause serious vision problems if it is contaminated.If your symptoms don't improve or worsen while using Refresh Optive Mega-3, call your doctor.Keep away from moisture and heat at room temperature.
What happens if I miss the dose?
When needed, Refresh Optive Mega-3 should be used. You can skip any missed dose if you follow a schedule. Never use two doses in one go.
What happens if I overdose?
Overdoses of ocular moisturizer are not dangerous. If anyone accidentally swallows the medication, call 1-800-222-1222 or the Poison Help Line for immediate medical attention.
What should be avoided?
Refresh Optive Mega-3 can cause blurred vision. Do not drive or do any hazardous activities until you have determined how the medicine will affect you.You should only use eye drops prescribed by your doctor.
Interaction with other drug
Other drugs that you take are unlikely to affect the medicine used on your eyes. Many drugs interact. Tell your doctor all the medications you are taking, including over-the-counter and prescription drugs, vitamins, and herbal remedies.
