What is Refresh Optive Advanced?
This leaflet does not list all the brands or forms of ocular lubricant.Refresh Advanced is used by adults to relieve irritation, burning, and discomfort due to dry eyes.Refresh Advanced can also be used in other ways not mentioned in this medication guide.
Side effects of Refresh Optive Advanced
If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing, hives, swelling of the face, lips, or throat.
If you experience any of the following symptoms, stop using Refresh Optive and contact your doctor immediately.
- After using the medication, you may experience severe eye irritation, burning, or stinging.
- Eye pain
- Vision changes
Refresh Optive Advanced can cause the following side effects:
- Mild eye irritation or burning;
- Itching or redness in your eyes
- Watery eyes
- Blurred vision
- Light sensitivity

Warnings
Do not use Refresh Optive Advanced for treating or preventing an eye infection.
Before you take this drug
Refresh Optive Advance should not be used if you have an allergy to it. The medicine does not prevent or treat an eye infection.If you suspect that you may have an infection, ask your doctor or pharmacist if Refresh Optive Advanced is safe to use.Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or nursing.
How to take Refresh Optive Advanced?
Read all instructions or guides that come with your medication and follow all directions. Follow the directions on the label.Before using Refresh Optive Advanced, wash your hands.Refresh Optive Advance should not be used, and you should contact your pharmacist immediately if it appears cloudy or if its color has changed.Avoid touching the tip or placing it directly on your eye. The tip of the eye dropper or ointment tube can cause serious vision problems if it is contaminated.If your symptoms don't improve or worsen while taking Refresh Optive Advanced, call your doctor.Keep away from moisture and heat at room temperature.
What happens if I miss the dose?
Refresh Optive Advanced can be used as needed. You can skip any missed dose if you follow a schedule. Never use two doses in one go.
What happens if I overdose?
Overdoses of ocular moisturizer are not dangerous. If anyone accidentally swallows the medication, call 1-800-222-1222 or the Poison Help Line for immediate medical attention.
What should be avoided?
Refresh Optive Advanced can cause blurred vision. Do not drive or do any hazardous activities until you have determined how the medicine will affect you.You should only use eye drops prescribed by your doctor.
Interaction with other drug
Other drugs that you take are unlikely to affect the medicine used on your eyes. Many drugs interact. Tell your doctor all the medications you are taking, including over-the-counter and prescription drugs, vitamins, and herbal remedies.
