What is Ragwitek?

Ragwitek contains pollen that may cause allergies during the season (hay fever).Ragwitek helps your body build immunity against certain pollen, which can trigger allergies such as watery eyelids, itching, and sneezing. Ragwitek can be used by adults aged up to 65.The symptoms of allergies will not be relieved immediately by this medicine.Ragwitek can be used in other ways not mentioned in the medication guide.

Side effects of Ragwitek

Ragwitek can cause an allergic reaction. If you experience any of the following symptoms, stop taking it and seek emergency medical attention.

  • Dizziness that is severe or lightheaded (as if you could pass out)
  • Rapid heart rate
  • Stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea;
  • Hives, itching, and flushing are all symptoms of a hive.
  • Difficulty breathing; chest tightness.
  • Swelling of the face, lips, or throat.

Do not take Ragwitek again if you have had an allergic reaction after stopping the medication.

Ragwitek can cause severe side effects. If you experience:

  • Severe mouth or throat irritation
  • Breathing problems
  • Chest pains, difficulty swallowing, choking sensation

Ragwitek can cause the following side effects:

  • You may experience numbness, itching, or swelling of the mouth.
  • Swollen tongue;
  • Throat irritation;
  • Itching of the ears

Warnings

Ragwitek should not be used if your asthma is uncontrolled, you've had an allergic reaction before to pollen extract medicine, or you have an allergic reaction in the esophagus.Ragwitek may not work for you if your medical condition is heart disease or high blood pressure. You may also not be able to use this medicine if you are taking certain medications.Ragwitek can cause an allergic reaction. You will be closely monitored by your doctor after the first dose to ensure you don't have an allergic reaction.You may be prescribed epinephrine, also known as Epi-Pen (epinephrine), to carry with you at all times in the event that you have an allergic reaction to Ragwitek.If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergic response, stop taking this medication and seek emergency medical attention.

Before you take this drug

Ragwitek should be avoided if:

  • Asthma that is severe, uncontrolled, or has no control
  • A history of an allergic reaction that caused stomach pain or difficulty swallowing

Tell your doctor about any of the following to ensure that Ragwitek will be safe for you:

  • Breathing problems
  • Heart disease
  • Uncontrolled high blood tension
  • You may have mouth sores or swelling of the gums.
  • If you are taking an antidepressant, migraine headache, or any other medicine,
  • If you are taking medicine for heart disease, high blood pressure, or prostate disorders,

FDA pregnancy class C. ragwitek is unknown to cause harm to an unborn child. If you plan to get pregnant or are already pregnant, tell your doctor.It's not clear if pollen extract can pass into breast milk or harm nursing babies. You should tell your doctor that you are breastfeeding a child.This medicine should not be given to any person under the age of 18 without consulting a doctor.The use of this medicine in patients older than 65 years is prohibited.

How to take Ragwitek?

You may need to undergo an allergy test, either a skin or blood test.Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended on the label. Take this medication only as prescribed. Do not exceed the recommended dosage or take it for a longer time.It is possible that your doctor will want you to receive the first dose in a clinic. After taking the first dose of this medicine, you should be closely monitored for 30 minutes to ensure that there is no allergic reaction.Ragwitek consists of a tablet that dissolves beneath your tongue. This tablet should not be chewed or swallowed whole.

Take the sublingual tablets:

  • The blister package should be kept until you're ready to use it. Peel back the foil and open the blister pack.
  • Remove the tablet with dry hands and put it in your mouth.
  • Sublingual Tablets: Place them under the tongue and let them dissolve.
  • For at least one minute, do not swallow. For at least five minutes, do not consume any food or liquids.

After handling the sublingual tablets, wash your hands.When a child is taking ragweed extract, an adult should supervise them.Ragwitek should be taken daily during allergy season. Start taking Ragwitek at least 12 weeks before allergy season begins for best results.You may be prescribed epinephrine, also known as Epi-Pen (Epinephrine), to carry with you at all times in the event that you have a reaction to Ragwitek.You may have to discontinue using the medicine until you heal if you require oral surgical work or dentistry. If the sublingual tablet causes any irritation in your mouth, tell your doctor.Keep the blister packs at room temperature and away from heat, moisture, or humidity.

What happens if I miss the dose?

As soon as possible, take the missed dose.If your next dose is approaching quickly, skip any missed dosage.You should not take more medicine to compensate for a missed dose.

What happens if I overdose?

Reach out for assistance or seek medical attention immediately in the event of a poison exposure. Dial 1-800-222-1222 immediately for poison assistance or seek emergency care immediately.

What should be avoided?

Before starting any medication or treatment, such as allergy shots, ask your doctor.

Interaction with other drug

Other medications, such as prescription drugs, over-the-counter products, vitamins, and herbal remedies, may also interact with the ragweed allergen extract. Inform your healthcare providers of all the medicines that you are currently taking and those you plan to start using.
