What is Nasal four?
Phenylephrine can be described as an anti-congestant that reduces the size of blood vessels in the nasal passages. Blood vessels that are dilapidated can lead to nose congestion (stuffy nasal congestion).
Nasal Four can be used to relieve nasal congestion and sinus pressure that is caused by allergies, as well as the commonly acquired cold and an illness called the flu. Phenylephrine is a medication that can treat the congestion of the tubes that remove fluid from your ears, known as the eustachian (yoo-stay-shun) tubes.

Side effects of Nasal Four
Seek medical attention immediately. If you are experiencing symptoms that indicate an allergy such as asthma, such as hives and swelling of your lips, tongue, throat, or face,
Nasal Four could cause severe adverse consequences. Take a break from Nasal Four and call your doctor right away in the event that you experience:
- Severe sneezing and runny nose, nasal stuffiness, swelling, redness, or irritation within your nasal area, or more severe nose symptoms (which may be an indication of overuse or a problem with Nasal Four);
- Extreme burning, stinging, or irritation in your nose;
- Extreme dizziness, restlessness, anxiety, nervousness, or sleepiness;
- Mood swings, strange thoughts, or behaviors;
- Shaking or tremors;
- Very little or no urination.
The risk of side effects is more prevalent in older adults.
Common adverse reactions to Nasal Four may include:
- Sneezing for a short time;
- Minor burning, dryness, cold feeling, or irritation in your nose.
- Headache, dizziness, weakness;
- Experiencing a sense of excitement or anxiety (especially when it is a child). feeling anxious or restless (especially in children)
- Minor sleep issues.

Warnings
Do not take Nasal Four if you have previously used an MAO inhibitor within the last 14 days, including linezolid and isocarboxazid, as well as phenelzine, methylene blue injection, rasagiline, selegiline, or tranylcypromine.
Before you take this drug
You shouldn't use Nasal Four if you are sensitive to it.Do not take Nasal Four if you have previously taken an MAO inhibitor within the last 14 days. A risky drug interaction may occur. MAO inhibitors include isocarboxazid, linezolid, Methylene Blue injection, rasagiline, phenelzine, tranylcypromine, and others.
Speak with a pharmacist or doctor to determine if it is safe to take this medication if you suffer from any other medical issues, particularly:
- Heart disease and heart rhythm disorders
- Hypertension;
- Diabetes;
- Glaucoma;
- An thyroid disorder;
- An increased prostate or urinary issue.
It isn't known if Nasal Four can cause harm to an unborn baby. Do not take this medication without seeking a doctor's guidance if you are expecting.
It's not clear if the nasal phenylephrine is absorbed into the breast milk or if it can harm breastfeeding babies. Do not take this medication without consulting a physician's guidance if you're breastfeeding babies.
How to Take Nasal Four?
Take it exactly as indicated on the label or as directed by your physician. Don't use in greater than smaller amounts or for longer periods than recommended. The use of cold medicine is only for a limited time until the symptoms subside.
Don't give Nasal Four to children less than 4 years old. Always consult with a physician prior to giving a cold or cough medicine to children. Death can occur because of the improper use or misuse of cold and cold medicine in very young children.
Nasal Four is usually used every 4 hours. Follow the instructions on the label of the medicine. Don't use more of this medicine than what is stated on the label or recommended by your physician. Utilizing this medication for too long could damage the lining of the nasal passages and cause persistent nasal congestion.
For use with the spray for nasal use:
- Blow your nose gently Maintain your head in a straight position and place the rim of your bottle in one nostril. Close the other nostril by using your fingers. Breathe quickly and slowly, spraying the medication through your nose. After that, spray the other nostril.
- Don't breathe through your nostrils for several minutes following the application of the spray to your nose.
- When the solution gets into your mouth, eyes, and skin, wash it off with water.
- If the spray for nasal use was not used for more than 24 hours to prime it, spray one or two times on tissues.
Following each usage, wipe the spray bottle using an absorbent tissue or rinse it off with hot water, making sure that there is no water in the bottle. Make sure the cap is in the bottle when you are not using it.
To apply the drops to your nose, lie on your back with your head positioned towards the back. Place the right quantity of drops, and then remain on your back for a few minutes. Move your head gently in a circular motion.To stop the spread of the infection, avoid sharing Nasal Four with anyone else.
Contact your physician if your symptoms don't improve after three weeks of therapy or if you suffer from a fever that causes headaches, coughing, or the appearance of a skin rash.
If you require surgery, be sure to inform your surgeon in advance that you're taking Nasal Four. You might have to stop taking the medicine for a brief period of time.Place it in a cool, dry place far from heat and moisture.
What happens If I miss a dose?
Because Nasal Four is used when it is needed, you may not be following a dosing schedule. If you're in a routine, you should take the dose you missed as quickly as you can remember. Avoid your missed dose if you are nearing the time for the next scheduled dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up for the missed dose.
What happens If I overdose?

The symptoms of an overdose can include dizziness, tiredness, a slow heart rate, and falling asleep.
What should be avoided?
Do not get Nasal Four in your eyes.
Consult a physician or pharmacist prior to using any other cough, cold, or allergy medication. A lot of combination medications contain the ingredient pseudoephedrine. When you combine certain products, it could cause you to take excessive amounts of this drug.
Interaction with other drugs
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist prior to using this medication if you're taking any other medications that include prescription or over-the-counter medications, vitamins, or herbal products. Certain medications can trigger unwanted or harmful effects when taken together. There are not all interactions included in this guideline for medications.
Talk to a pharmacist or doctor to determine if it's appropriate for you to take Nasal Four if you are also taking one of the following medications:
- Other decongestants;
- An antidepressant
- Medications for blood pressure
- Diabetes medication.
