What is Nalex A-12?

Chlorpheniramine as well as pyrilamine can be used as antihistamines that can reduce the effects of the natural chemical histamine within the body. Histamine may cause symptoms such as sneezing, itching, eye watering, and a dry nose.

Phenylephrine can be described as an anti-congestant that reduces the size of the blood vessels that line the nasal passages. Blood vessels that are dilapidated can lead to nose congestion (stuffy nasal congestion).

Nalex A 12 is a combination medicine that is used to treat a stuffy or runny nose, itching, sneezing, eye watering, and sinus congestion that is caused by allergies, as well as the commonly-spread cold and influenza.Nalex A-12 may also be used to treat conditions that aren't listed in this guide.

Side effects of Nalex A.12

See a doctor immediately. If you are experiencing symptoms warning signs of an allergic response such as symptoms of hives; difficulty breathing or swelling of your lips, face or tongue.

Nalex A-12 may cause severe adverse reactions. Take a break from Nalex A 12 and call your physician immediately in the event that you experience:

  • Confusion, hallucinations;
  • Being anxious or nervous;
  • Difficulty sleep;
  • Minimal or no urination
  • A seizure (convulsions);
  • Tingling sensation or numbness
  • A lightheaded sensation, similar to passing out;
  • Heartbeats that beat or flutter through your chest
  • Elevated blood pressure; severe headache blurred vision and excessive pounding in your neck and ears. stress nasal bleeding.

Certain adverse reactions are more frequent for older individuals.

Common adverse effects associated with Nalex A 12 may include:

  • Vomiting, constipation, nausea, constipation
  • Itching or itching
  • More transpiration;
  • Dry the nose, mouth, or throat;

  • Headache, dizziness,
  • Being anxious or restless (especially for children).

Warnings

This medicine is for you if you suffer from serious coronary artery problems, diabetes, an overactive thyroid, asthma, pneumonia, or any other breathing issues.Do not take this medication if you've taken an MAO inhibitor in the last 14 days, for example, isocarboxazid, linezolid blue injection, or phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, or tranylcypromine.

Avoid giving this medicine to a child who is less than six years old. There is a risk of death due to the intoxication of cough and cold medications in very young children.It is not recommended to use antihistamine medication to make your child restless.

Before you take this drug

Don't use Nalex A-12 if you have taken an MAO inhibitor within the last 14 days. A potentially dangerous interaction with a drug could happen. MAO inhibitors are isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue injection, rasagiline, phenelzine, and tranylcypromine, among others.

It is not recommended to use this medication if you have an allergy to chlorpheniramine, phenylephrine, pyrilamine, or any other decongestants or suffer from:

  • The presence of severe coronary arterial disease
  • Diabetes;
  • Hyperactive thyroid
  • Asthma, pneumonia, or another breathing issue.

Speak with a pharmacist or doctor about whether it's safe to take this medication when you are suffering from:

  • Heart disease (also known as excessive blood pressure)
  • Problems with blood circulation;
  • Glaucoma;
  • An obstruction or ulcer in the stomach.
  • Prostate enlarged;
  • Bladder obstruction or other urinary issues;
  • A background of seizures.

It is not clear if Nalex A-12 will harm the unborn baby. Talk to your doctor prior to taking this medication if you are expecting.

Chlorpheniramine and phenylephrine, as well as pyrilamine, may be found in breast milk and can cause negative side effects for the nursing infant. Antihistamines may also reduce the production of breast milk. It is not recommended to breastfeed during treatment with this medicine.

How to Take Nalex A 12?

Take it exactly as indicated on the label or as directed by your physician. Do not use in greater quantities or for longer periods of time than recommended. Cold or cough medicine is typically taken for a brief period of time until symptoms improve.

Don't give this medication to a child who is less than six years old. Always consult a physician prior to giving a cold or cough medicine to children. Death can occur because of the misuse of cough or cold medications by very young children.It is not recommended to use antihistamine medication to make your child tired.

Do not chew, crush, or break an extended-release tablet. Take it in whole.Take measurements of liquid medicines using the dosing syringe that comes with it, a dosing spoon, or medicine cups. If you don't have an instrument to measure doses, you can ask your pharmacist for one.Then shake the oral suspension (liquid) well, just before measuring a dose.Keep at room temperature, free of heat, moisture, and light. Don't allow the liquid medicine to cool down.

Consult your physician if symptoms don't improve after seven days of medication or if you are suffering from a fever that causes headaches, coughing, or an itch on your skin.

What happens If I Miss a dose?

You should take the missed dose as quickly as you can remember. Avoid any missed doses if you are close to the time of the next dose. Don't take any extra medication to make up for the missed dose.

What happens If I overdose?

Get medical attention in an emergency or contact the poison help line at 1-800-222-1222.

Some signs of overdose include dry mouth, severe sleepiness, confusion, hearing ringing seizures, tremors, dilation of the pupils, vomiting, and loss of consciousness.

What should be avoided?

Nalex A 12 may cause blurred vision and impair your reaction or thinking. Be aware if you drive or engage in activities that require that you be conscious and in a position to clearly see.Alcohol consumption with this medication may cause unwanted side effects.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist prior to taking any other cough, cold, allergy, or pain medication. A number of combination medicines contain decongestants and antihistamines. Combining certain medicines can result in the onset of more of these drugs.

Avoid exposure to the sun as well as tanning beds. This medication can cause burns more quickly. Protect yourself with protective clothes and wear sunblock (SPF 30 or more) whenever you're outside.

Interaction with other drugs

Consult a physician or pharmacist prior to using this medicine if you're taking any other medications, including prescription or over-the-counter medications, vitamins, or herbal products. Certain medicines may cause undesirable or harmful effects when taken together. There are not all the interactions mentioned in this medication guide.

Combining this medication with other medicines that make you sleepy or slow your breathing could make these effects worse. Talk to your doctor prior to using Nalex A 12 with a sleeping pill, narcotic pain medication, muscle relaxers, medication to treat anxiety, depression, or seizures.
