  • Drop the appropriate number of drops in your ear by holding the dropper upside-down over the ear.
  • A bubbling noise may be heard inside your ear. The foaming effect of Mollifene helps break down the wax in your ears.
  • For at least five minutes, lie down with your head tipped back. Use a piece of cotton in the ear to prevent the medication from draining. You should follow your doctor's advice about using cotton.
  • Avoid touching the tip of the dropper or placing it in your ears. The dropper tip may be contaminated. Do not use soap or water to wash the tip. Instead, wipe it with a tissue.

  • The water will be released into your ears by gently squeezing the bulb syringe. You could harm your eardrum if you squirt water too forcefully.
  • The water will drain into a sink or bowl.
