Adults can use moisture drops to soothe irritation and burning caused by dry eyes.

Side effects of Moisture Drops

If you experience any of the following symptoms of an allergy reaction, seek immediate medical attention: difficulty breathing, hives, swelling in your lips, face, throat, or tongue.

If you experience:

  • After taking medication for eye irritation or pain, you may experience burning, stinging or other unpleasant sensations in the eye area.
  • Eye pain
  • Vision changes

Moisture drops can have a variety of side effects.

  • Mild eye irritation or burning;
  • Itching or redness in your eyes.
  • Watery Eyes
  • Blurred vision
  • Light sensitivity

Warnings

Moisture drops should not be used to prevent or treat an eye infection.

Before you take this drug

Moisture drops should never be used by someone who is allergic to them. The medicine does not prevent or treat an eye infection.

If you suspect that you may have an infection, ask your doctor or pharmacist whether Moisture Drops are safe to use.

Inform your doctor of any pregnancy or nursing.

How to take Moisture Drops?

Read all instructions or guides that come with your medication and follow all the directions. Follow the directions on your prescription label.

Wash your hands before using moisture drops.

Call your pharmacist immediately if you notice that the medication has become cloudy or has changed color.

Avoid touching the tip or placing it on the eye. The tip of the eye dropper or ointment tube can cause serious vision issues if it is contaminated.

If your symptoms don't improve or worsen while you are using moisture drops, call your doctor.

Keep away from heat and moisture. Store at room temperature.

What happens if I miss the dose?

Use moisture drops as needed. You can skip a missed dose if you have a schedule. Never use more than one dose at a time.

What happens if I overdose?

Overdoses of ocular moisturizer are not dangerous. If anyone accidentally swallows the medication, call 1-800-222-1222 or the Poison Help Line for immediate medical assistance.

What should be avoided?

You may experience blurry vision after using moisture drops. Do not drive or engage in any hazardous activities until you have determined how the medicine affects you.

You should only use eye drops prescribed by your physician.

Interaction with other drug

Other drugs that you take are unlikely to affect the medicine used on your eyes. Many drugs interact. Inform your doctor of all the medications you are taking, including both prescription and OTC medicines.
