What is MetroGel Pump?

MetroGel Pump is used for the treatment of skin lesions that are caused by Rosacea. The MetroGel pump may be used in other ways not mentioned in the medication guide.

Side effects of MetroGel Pump

If you experience symptoms of allergy such as difficulty breathing, hives or swelling to your lips, face, throat and tongue then seek medical advice as soon as possible.

MetroGel Pump can cause severe side effects. If you experience:

  • You may experience tingling or burning in the hands and feet.
  • MetroGel pumps can cause a burning or stinging sensation.

The MetroGel pump may cause the following side effects:

  • Burning or stinging
  • Skin redness and irritation
  • Itchy, dry, or scaly skin
  • Symptoms of a cold, including a stuffy nose and a sneezing, sore neck.

Before you take this drug

MetroGel pumps should be avoided if allergic reactions are present.

If you've ever:

  • A disorder of the nervous system.

MetroGel Pump is unknown to cause harm to an unborn child. Inform your doctor immediately if you plan to get pregnant. The MetroGel pump should never be used while breastfeeding. MetroGel Pump should not be used by those under the age of 18.

How to take MetroGel Pump ?

Before taking your medication, read and follow all instructions or guides provided with it, as well as those found on its label. Take it only by mouth. Topical medicines are only to be used on the skin. The MetroGel pump should be applied after washing and drying your skin. The medication should be applied in a thin, even layer. Rub it in thoroughly. The MetroGel Pump can be used to apply cosmetics. The MetroGel Pump should not be used to treat skin conditions that have not been examined by your physician. Even if you feel better quickly, continue to take this medication for as long as it is prescribed. You can get infections if you skip doses. If your symptoms don't improve or worsen while you are using MetroGel Pump, call your doctor. Keep away from heat or moisture.

What happens if I miss the dose?

If it is almost time for your next dose, skip any missed one and do not take two of the same medication at the same time.

What happens if I overdose?

A MetroGel Pump overdose is unlikely to cause harm. If anyone accidentally swallows the medication, seek emergency medical care or contact the Poison Help Line at 1-800-222-1222.

What should be avoided?

The MetroGel pump should not be used in the vagina.MetroGel Pump should not be used in the eyes.

Interaction with other drug

Other drugs that you take are unlikely to affect the medicine applied to your skin. Many drugs interact. Inform your health care providers of all the medicines that you take, including prescription medicines and over-the-counter medications.
